Others that shave almost as well for me include the Merkur Progress & Futur, Parker Variant, and Rex Ambassador.

Favorite vintage razor: 1948-50 Gillette Super Speed (it once belonged to my great grandfather)
Favorite modern razor: Rex Envoy (I’ve yet to have a bad shave with this baby and my face is smooth as glass hours after shaving)

I love all my razors or I wouldn't have kept them but the one that gets reached for the most is my vintage 40's era Gillette Fat Handle Tech.

I'm getting senile, I have another razor that's neck and neck with the aforementioned WWII era Gillette Fat Handle Tech and it's another Gillette from same time period , my Gold Aristocrat. Although one of the big reasons I started wet shaving was that I loved the look of many modern razors, I soon found the only modern models that shaved equal to, not better but as good, equal to vintage ones were much more expensive. It was kind of weird, vintage blades are much better and cost more but vintage razors shave as good or better but cost less. But if you apply yourself you can get the blades cheaper too. Time consuming but possible. I did it.

I’ve got a modest collection of vintage razors including several nice adjustables.
But the one razor I use the most is my 1962 Ball end Tech. It’s modest and simple and a gentle shaver. I paid only 3 dollars for it from a collectible store years ago. It is my favorite.

Favorite as in best shaving? Best looking? Most coveted?
The Knockout razor shaves best of all I've tried (a lot), followed closely by the PAA Alpha Ecliptic
Prettiest razor I own is either the thin handle longscrew Valencia or the Volcanic
Proudest of my plastic Mulcuto needlepoint slant
Hooked on Mvltiplex, even though I've never shaved with one.

I'd add a Schick Eversharp Krona and a British Flare.

I would have to say that my favorite is the franken-razor that I put together about 6 years ago. I honestly couldn't tell you what models the parts came off aside from the base plate being a Merkur.

It has become my go to razor. Long heavy brass handle, wide gap, and lots of blade exposure. It's very aggressive but still gives a great shave.
