Thank you, Jason. It is a beautiful razor. I really like how thin the head is and the 17-4 stainless takes a wicked shine.
I'm hoping the splash and the soap reach their demise simultaneously. I'll try and adjust the soap to splash ratios as I get closer to finishing one of them off.

Yes, sounds like the soap is to blame rather than the blade, Joe. The Stirling Glacial balm is a nice product for sure.

Very nice two pass shave tonight. I don't know how many shaves are on the blade, but it is pretty much done. New blade for the next shave.

Unfortunately, I finished my bottle of Dr, Sana. Should probably get a bottle some time soon as I am completely out of after shave.

 

Sounds like a great cream, Andrew. I’ve seen lots of good reviews on the soap, especially in stick form, but haven’t seen much about the mentholated cream yet.

 

Thanks Andrew! I have gotten weeps, but it has been awhile since I nicked myself and it usually is on the stache. It's part of shaving, no biggie. When you have 350 open blade shaves, you tend to be on autopilot and that's when you get bit.

 

Thanks Patrick! All these years of shaving and I never used menthol until I came to 30DC. Now I appreciate the menthol shave on hot summer days!

How do those Astra blues compare to the Greens, Patrick?

 

I lived in Arizona for a spell when I was a kid, so I have experienced 116 degree days--I remember them being... unpleasant

I find them smoother and I'm still on the first blade Jason. Maybe I got a ringer but the green didn't go this distance from my recollection. I was about to order another 200 but the sales over . Saved almost 6 bucks per 100.
