Wonderful picture, shave and report Blair!
    Thank you!
I'm just doing the one soap thing on work days and that's tough enough. I couldn't do it seven days a week.

Good choice Gary!. And Thanks !

    I did for a few hours .

    Very nice Clint! Interesting scent.

Awesome lineup Mark and beautiful pic!!

Sounds like a rough morning Paul. I do the same think when apply the Aqua Velva. My den smells good afterwards though.

Great shave Blair! Enjoy your day.

I used Irish Spring when I was in high school, unfortunately they don’t sell it here. It is similar but I remember Irish Spring having a stronger scent.

    welcome to my world.

I finished my "month" early as I'm packing to move.
Boar vs horse hair brush and
Wunderbar vs Above the Tie S1 (and Razorock G37 by memory)

Conclusions. Love the boar brush feel, . That should save me some money in the future.
The horse hair is OK, it knots up, as I smoosh brushes in a circular motion. I am able to comb it out with a pair of tweezers sideways. The dirtiness and smell at first was alarming, but I cleaned it until both gone for first use. You'd think it was right from horse's ass to brush with nothing in-between.

RR Wunderbar vs ATT S1 vs RR G37, face and head shave.
Firstly I will mention the head shaving is where I'm not enjoying using the RR-W. For face shaving my con points are lessened.
    • Efficiency in order:Wunderbar, RR G37, ATT S1
    • Closest shave first pass, Wunderbar. One pass shavers might consider this
    • Ability to get to BBS in 3 passes, all three, possible in 2 with Wunderbar, but the time taken is the same due to extra care needed with the RR-W. Third pass may not even be wise unless you need exfoliation or flaying.
    • Most care needed:Wunderbar
    • Most likely to irritate neck: RR-W. If you don't have smooth neck skin, this will try to smooth it for you
    • Easiest to shave with: RR G37
    • Looks /display: Wunderbar, ATT, then RR G37. G37 would be my keeper, but it looks like the $15 head that it is, but performs like $1m
    • Most comfortable smooth shave, ATT. The blade gap is tiny but he slant offsets it. The Wunderbar is a slant with huge blade gap and requires care, rough at the wrong angle. The G37 is between and the shave angle is "pre-set" as there is only one angle possible, easy to find due to head design
    • Best comfort/efficiency ratio, ATT (probably the most subjective item on the list)
    • Most to least enjoyable shave and have all things considerd: ATT S1, RR-G37, and far behind for me is the RR-Wunderbar. I am a zombie before bed and in the AM, don't make me think.

My ATT S2 head seems to be delayed, I was hoping to include it.

[QUOTE=". Always wanted to really see if it smelled like Grandmas purse but I never really smelled her purse so I am none the wiser . My better half doesn't find the scent offensive and liked when I paired it with the Jeeves . Win win and I never got my nose slapped for snooping in Grandmas purse back in the day .[/QUOTE]

    That sounds so Dirty. LOL.

Very good report!!. With the horse maybe try using paintbrush strokes to avoid tangles. Your knot may have a hollow spot in the center also which some horse brushes do . This seems to lead to tangles . Hope that helps !

Blame that on whomever compared the Tobac scent to a purse. ;)

Actually I think it is the lack of a hollow spot as it knots right in the middle. Hard to resist the swirl, but you are correct painting would be better for it.

Anybody know of a horse hair with a hollow in the middle?

Continuing my focus on Polsilver blades, we move to St. Petersburg, for the Wizamet Super Iridium.

This blade, as yesterday's is adorned with two huge glue dots.
You can clearly see how the wrapper stuck to the blade and tore as I opened it.
However, I was treated to an extra-special, smooth shave.
This blade is sharp---yet mild. I never "felt" any roughness at all. The FH razor has sufficient blade-reveal
to expose rough blades, such as a Feather.
So far, this blade is in a tie for my favorite with yesterday's Polsilver.

I stand corrected. Lack of hollow causes the tangles . I screen shotted this from here on the site . It is a well written piece on brushes by @PLANofMAN

Sounds like the new cream worked out for you, Blair. You are absolutely correct when you say a little goes a long way. The scent is quite unusual as well.
