    Thank You Jim!

    Appreciated Joe!

    Thanks Clint!

Sincerely appreciated Andrew! I wonder sometimes when the blade maker is deciding which scale is front/back. In this case, the back scale is the prettiest, should have been the front, so the blade etching and prettiest scale could be shown in one image. FWP and small niggle of an issue fer shure.....but there it is.

Thank you so much Tim! I am really happy with the BAUME.BE....I mean, it had to be good, they put a straight on the label!

I know right! I just had to do an image showing the cream color. And....in browsing colors choice for a set of scales, it appears that this Simpson handle is made from a Kirinite block of Royal Pearl....the name matches...pattern matches....things that make you go hmm.

Thanks Joe! I'm much in the same boat honestly.....too many soaps and aftershaves/colognes. However....there's still so many other wrong things I could be spending my allowance money on. :shocked003:

Thank you Joe. I really like the performance of Mike's soaps. The scents are straightforward but that's not a bad thing. If you are a bay rum fan get a sample of his.

    You did it! :D

You're probably a faster learner than I am, so take this with a grain of salt, but until halfway through my 100 run, the shaves were exhausting. The time it took me to pull off three passes, and the absolute focus I had to employ to do it--fatigue became a factor. I still have to maintain the focus, but I've noticed that I don't spend as much time on the shave as I used to, and that helps. A lot! I'm not as efficient with a shavette as a DE, but I enjoy the process now.

    Love that Famex! :D

I can understand why you feel that way Jeff. You are at a serious disadvantage because of your physical issue that prevents you from enjoying straight shaves right now. Look at the progress you made! You are doing a 3 pass shave with a straight. At one time, you would never thought it would be possible. I think the more you practice straight shaving then the more efficient you will be and your attitude just may turn around. I hear you about stropping, but that is part of the process. I tip my hat to you!

I like how you counted out the Frost Drops, Tim. I'll try that, but I may forget exactly how many if they come out real fast.

Thank you, Andrew! A year or so, I was convinced that I could not get a good shave out of 2 passes without my face feeling like lava. I think I've become a more efficient shaver since then. And the 2 pass is definitely easier on the face :D

Great shave, Tim! I’m generally a 2 pass shaver myself, at least with safety razors. Did a traditional 3 pass shave today with the Dovo on my face. Think I’ll be sticking with 2 pass shaves.

Thank you, Paul--it's really easy to get too many. I find that if I just tip the bottle upside down and let gravity do the work, it comes out slow enough for me to keep from losing track :D

Nice Jeff! Love the two razors. If it's feeling tedious and time consuming, enjoy the equipment that makes your shave...as you said it, relaxed. It's a hobby to many of us, supposed to be lots of fun. As JLP would say:
