    Excellent, Jeff! Do you have a good bit left of the Nancy Boy cream?

    Nice shave, Pierpaolo! Does Omega produce their own soap? Or does a company like Proraso or TFS make them for Omega?

    Thank you, Jim.

    Long and light handle, used with a back grip, it offers a marked improvement in efficiency.
    Today the Standard head of EJ DE89 with that handle is my reference.
    In three-pass daily shaving it is super effective.
    But with a comfort that I have hardly found, even in expensive models.

    Nice one, Clint! With all the rain this year, at least Lake Lanier is staying above full pool so we in the ATL have plenty of water. :D
    Hope you have a great day.

    I could SEE that I've gained a few lbs,, when the photo for my REAL ID was taken. I do some stretches here in the apt., but it isn't the same as being at the gym.

    Pretty good shave this morning. I think about 7 or 8 Stoylin Frost Drops went into the Blood on Steel soap. The usual nice soft healthy feel of said soap(I mean.....it IS Stoylin, after all). 2 cuts on Pass #1, zero on #2. These cuts were too big to be called "weepers", but they didn't have enough steroid power to be serious. The real test will be later, how I feel outside in 80+ degree weather with the BoS. That's the whole point of my "experiment" with the cool/cold weather soaps. Mind if I keep the lab keys all summer, @Trigger? Oh, right...I forgot...you made a spare set for me. Solid work on the neck with the Y-formation. BoS aftershave for the finisher. Very excellent for the shave itself, but again let's see how it takes to the heat.

    Asylum Shave Works Shaving Soap & After Shave - Old Virginia
    @jtspartan 2019 30DC handle with Omega 10098
    Drew Dick 15/16ths Damascus-Bone Scales

    Did a little timing today, just out of curiosity. Nice shower w/face prep, about 10 minutes. Used Jason's handle w/the Omega boar knot....bowl lathered the ASW SS (made by Wet Shaving Products) into an extremely nice, thick and peaky lather. Applied a hefty layer, and off to strop the DD Damascus for ~30 strokes. Back to the sink, quick rinse and reapplication. Enjoyed 2 silky smooth, almost spine riding passes to a DFS+ with some super skin stretching for the neck swaths. Another lathering session for the neck only, a little ATG buffing under the right jawline...BBS achieved. From first bowl lather for a face prep, to a quick stropping, & finally stopping the clock at the end of the 3rd pass, 14 minutes. Finished with a thorough layer of the matching ASW Old Virginia, and I'm ready for a Thursday, ~26 minutes start to finish. No nicks, cuts or other shenanigans.

    Been wanting to do an image with a strop for quite some time, and the new Heirloom Razor Strop Co. 'Notavan' was begging for it. It's a slightly thinner leather than my Ezra Arthur bridle leather strop, and poses easier as it's much more supple (which Tony specifically recommended for smiling blade razors).

    Hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday!

    Kokum butter.....that's what also goes into the Phoenix A.A. Bay Rum soap I have. Strong stuff, but that's part of what makes it good.

    I’m about halfway through, Andrew. It doesn’t take much to generate an enormous amount of lather!

    Great Christopher Bradley shave, Cliff! Mike’s is a nice brand. I have his Hungarian Lavender. I’m unfortunately addicted to Nancy Boy and MWF. I have sold all my other soaps with the exception of Tabac and Arko.
