    good morning gents,loaded my 1930 (non reissue) new lc with the astra blue,second use.i use a gold tech ball end handle with this razor as it has the narrow handle cut out on the base plate like the new sc,quite rare on the long comb.this was a near nos set with badly split original old type ball end style handle.the simpson sunspot built a fine 63 lather.smooth near bbs in 2+ passes.a touch of twisted thayers and 63 edt to finish..awesome.have a fine day everyone..

    Just the Basics June

    Thursday's Shave

    1953 Gillette Super Speed (Y3)
    Personna 'Platinum Chrome' (3)
    Omega 11126 Boar
    Palmolive Menthol Shaving Cream
    Skin Bracer by...Mennen

    I love using the Palmolive shaving sticks, so today it was about time I finally tried their shaving cream. The menthol shaving cream was fantastic and the smell is so much of the Palmolive goodness! It whipped into a tingly, slick, creamy lather and the Super Speed had a fine time gliding around taking out the stubble. It's a thirsty cream that worked great with a lot of hydration. Having said that, the Palmolive lived up to anticipated expectations today. Skin Bracer topped off the shave with its usual refreshing conclusion.

    Two passes today for a DFS finish and no irritation.
