I blinked again and was 350+ posts behind. Compliments to the shavers, who take the time to post and extra-credit to those who go the extra mile elaborating on their shaves. This is a fun hobby, as we all here at TSD know full-well. And while it's only "virtually", it is a pleasure knowing everyone here. :happy088:

Thank you Tim. I have some beautiful spots in the yard but as a whole it needs some work.

@Primotenore I did order one of the new Semogue boar brushes last night. For $27 shipped I just couldn't resist the temptation.

My Heritage Dubl Duck handle and TsN Gel boar knot arrived earlier this week. After allowing the set knot time to cure I decided to break it out today. I did a couple of test lathers but this was the first real use. The gel boar knot is treated with hair products that promote the splitting of the bristles and give the wet brush a gel like feeling against the face. Basically the brush is fully broken in from the start. During face lathering the knot did shed a few hairs. I am hopeful my experience will mirror @jluc 's and the shedding will stop with continued use. The remainder of the shave was an uneventful 3 pass near BBS shave. The circle of death in Mike's OC&BP is growing by the day. I should finish the soap within the next 7-10 days. I hope everyone has a Fantastic Friday.

The Seki Feather AS-D2 was designed for their DE Blades. I originally purchased the Occam’s DE as a Christmas present for my youngest son, but he was not interested as he loved his OneBlade Core razor. So I purchased the OneBlade Hybrid for him. After reading paeans about the Occam’s DE from numerous 30DC crew, I gave it a try, and in the process discovered that the razor’s aggressive baseplate was very similar to the Eclipse Red Ring’s (ERR) attached baseplate, whether by serendipity or a direct ripoff. The Occam’s DE shaves almost identically with the aggressive baseplate to the ERR. It’s now part of my regular rotation. Classic Shaving placed the recommendation to use Feather Blades right on their site. See below:

Excellent. Somehow I knew we would be seeing one in your den sooner, rather than later. I really enjoy the ergonomics of the Semogue handles.

I decided on the new handle style Semogue Torga-C5 boar. It is a black resin handle with the new logo. I had for the most part moved away from boar brushes with just a couple in the den. Then you enabled me on the Mondial boar and now the boar brushes in my den are multiplying like rabbits.
