Thank you, Clint! I hope you have a great Saturday as well.
The painters finished the house on Wednesday. The house looks good but it brings out the stuff that doesn't look so good. I have new patio furniture to assemble and a fence to finish pressure washing along with the usual Saturday yard work.

    June 27 Saturday Special Shave

    Good morning guys!

    Shavette Shave #169
    Parker SRB
    Rockwell 1/2 DE Blade (2)
    Stirling Boar Brush
    Stirling Satsuma SS and AS

Stirling Brush gave me an easy lather using the very wet method. I bloomed the soap to give me a preshave treatment. The combination gave me a very nice, wet slick lather. I just love the Satsuma orange scent. It really is therapeutic for me in every way. I only did 2 passes with buffing to give me a nice IBSS+. Applied a liberal amount of the aftershave on my face and dome to end this nice shave. Have a great Saturday guys! 20200626_223412.jpg 20200626_223412.jpg

Prep: Cold water and PAA Cube pre-shave soap
    Blade: vintage Gillette Spoiler
    Razor: Gillette Fatboy
    Brush: Omega 10049 boar
    Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
Post: Witch hazel, Fine American Blend aftershave

Fat Friday delayed. No shave yesterday so pushed the traditional Friday setup to today. Excellent results as expected with this combination. The Fat continues to be a wonderful soap for me.

Hopefully I'll be around a little more than the past few months. I've missed the banter and camaraderie of this group.

    Enjoy your weekend!

For all the summers I lived in Washington, DC they sure get steamy in Hotshington.

There is less soap in the tin than can be ascertained in the photo.
There is even less now, as the picture was before I loaded.

Listened to the long version of "Light my Fire" whilst loading.
Results were nothing short of spectacular.

You will recall, this was the first blade in my Polsilver mini-focus.
My mind has not changed, as the ATG pass on my cheeks was a tad harsh.
This twicw-used blade now resides in my handy-dandy blade bank.
The Italian slant is fun to use. Nothing that sets it apart from any other blade-holding tool.
We wet-shavers make a big deal about fit and finish and polishing, yada, yada, yada.
Let's all be honest here: If the razor can hold the blade securely, a great technique will
net you a great shave. Basta.

    Have a great weekend.
