I have all the Colonial Razors, and respectfully disagree with PierPaolo’s assertion that the General V2 is inferior to the General V1 in shave quality. I have owned six AC razors, and in my opinion, the V2’s slimmer head makes it much more maneuverable than the V1. I had a brass V1 and sold it when my V2 arrived. It and the Blackland Vector are the two best AC razors available currently, particularly when equipped with a Feather Super. YMMV

Great photo and shave Joe. It’s very nice when something makes us think of a beloved relative.

The last of the Jabonman finds itself pressed to the bottom of my Aesop bowl.
The bowl has a nice diameter, allowing me to lather my larger brushes.
    The CH2
really picked up plenty of soap and transformed it into...
Yes, it's a wet lather, but that's how Primo likes it.
    The wetter the slicker.
And speaking of slick, the Polsilver blade (either the SI or the Wizamet) was wonderfully
sharp and smooth as it traipsed across the layer of super-slick goodness.
Only leaving in its wake, a soft, supple, well-hydrated Primo-skin.
Aqua Velva made a nice appearance to complete the shaving ritual.

As far as head shavers go, Andrew, it beats just about any vintage or modern safety razor.

Wow! A 2 pass DFS with a straight--you're certainly doing better than I was (and depending on the day, doing better than I currently am). I usually need some serious touchups to get a DFS along the chin in 2 passes.

Fantastic shave, photo, report, and progress, Jeff! Color me impressed :D

Fantastic photos and set up, Gary! I think having a NEW in the den that's in solid shape but still has a slightly 'lived in' look is awesome :D

In terms of performance and feel, do you prefer the ball end handles or the bar handles when shaving with NEW types?
