Thanks Jim! Similar thing happened here. Wifey confiscated one of my packages ‘for father’s day’. Then, they didn’t give it to me. :angry032: But....the ladies did something incredible this year. So, I got the package back. Ha! The Father’s Day gifts they did will show up in July posts. One has to be framed, and the other requires mounting.

Good afternoon Gary! Thanks for the kind words.

Sincerely appreciated Keith, O’Straight Razor Sensei....:bounce015:

Thanks much Jeff! It is fun to use. Funny side note, I can’t see my nose when using it for the upper lip shaving....:happy102:

    Thanks Joseph! Funny!

Thanks Perry! Great to be reading your posts again!

Sincerely appreciated Tim! I just had to....but I think I’m going to have to keep them separated in the cabinet, otherwise the naming is going to get crazy....

Thank you very much Jason! I know that overwhelmed but not complaining mantra. Story of my May and June also.

Thanks Clint. Appreciate the nice comments!

Yes, I remember us being somewhat skeptical of the new gentlemen who really didn't indicate a connection to the previous owner (Bryon). Adam reached out to Bryon who informed him that the whole thing was legit. Unfortunately for me it doesn't appear that there is a Canadian vendor at this point.

Prep: Cold water and soapy bloom water
Blade: vintage Private Club platinum chrome
    Razor: Schick G4 '66'
    Brush: Ever Ready 100T badger
    Soap: Soap Commander Justice
Post: Witch hazel, Soap Commander Justice aftershave

Apropos of our earlier posts - @jtspartan - I think I've found the replacement scent for the Jeeves Tobacco Bay Leaf splash. Soap Commander Justice is a new release and limited edition. I ordered Saturday and it arrived today (being a couple of hours south of their home base doesn't hurt). This is a wonderful scent. Easy shave all around. I enhanced the splash with some menthol crystals and quite enjoyed the bracing feel. Soap Commander's aftershaves are nourishing and the scents seem to last quite a while. I'm quite happy with this new purchase.

    Take care and stay safe!

Thanks Joe! Using bigger straight or kamisori razors (7/8+ size) is an easier shave for me. Maneuverability is obviously different, but controlling the weight on the swath is better. This Osiris I thought would be a little awkward, my other big blades are mostly variations of smiling arcs. It’s edge completely surprised me, it got only a handful of stropping laps. Wanted to see what the sellers version of ‘shave ready’ was. Only the Friodur rescaled and honed from Glen arrived this ‘shave ready’.

Thank you, Jim! This is only the second soap I've purchased all year. I've finished off two Stirling tubs and sold another, so I'm still down one overall. Trying to pare down to about 15 soaps.

Glad to hear you found that replacement, Perry. Soap Commander is a very underrated lather, and if the scent is comparable it is a win, win...
I pulled out my '66' a few times last month as well. Excellent shaver.
