Charcoal Level 2 Gen 2/Treet Falcon. I bought the Charcoal plate without a cap on BST so I've had to experiment to find a good match. Best is the Clix cap which covers blade tabs and keeps angle where it feels right, much better than the Charcoal Gen 1 or Pre-War Tech caps.

Treet Falcon on second shave is just great. If I can get three head shaves from these I'll be thrilled, two perfectly satisfied.[IMG]

French made 3pc open comb. Lot of blade feel but not overly aggressive. End result a BBS finish is achieved.

Something special happened today. I got a pretty good shave with Arko. It works better for me if I scrape off a bit and bowl lather. I did run it lightly across my face before bringing the brush up.

For me I think Arko is a summer soap. It really dried my skin out in winter- only used it 3 times and then I was going to label it as hand soap.:lyrtuy5:

But I tried it today, with much better success. I really took my time working the lather and adding drops of water- it seemed thirsty, at least to get the sheen that I wanted. It didn't feel dry on my face (nothing feels dry on my face when the humidity is over 70%). To combat any post dryness, I used Thayer's Lavender WH, then applied moisturizer, and then AS. Success! I recently read an article about using moisturizer before using an AS splash to increase its effectiveness and give an improved face feel, so I'm experimenting with this.

Shave #2 with Treet was just as good as my first time using it the other day. This could be a contender.
