Ok, first of all, that's just wrong on so many levels... that sort of thing shouldn't be handled by voicemail, and that a "professional" thought it was okay... Well, let's just say that your daughter is probably better off not being in that environment anyway. It just sucks and I hate the whole situation for you. There's a book out by Lynn Truss, called Talk to the Hand: ^^^^ Pic is linky. Well worth a read and it completely sums up the incompetence of people like that. Look for it at your local DollarTree or Books-Kagillion. I gave a buck for my copy.
Oh, and nice tat, Jen! Okay, here's a little something to make you all smile this morning. I'm driving to work this morning, listening to John Boy and Billy's Big Show, and they've got a comedian singer/songwriter named Stephen Lynch. He says he's really only got one song from his new album that he can play on the radio. Now, I know the subject matter is less than glamorous, but the story this song unfolds is just so absurd and it just keeps getting worse as it goes along. I don't want to think this kind of thing is funny, but I just couldn't help but laugh. It's just so inappropriately funny, really, stick with it til the end: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccp9N2muyTE Available in mp3 form from his site here: http://www.whatarerecords.com/zmp3/Stephen_Lynch:_3_Balloons.mp3
Okay, so last night, I lay my head down on the pillow, and then a thought flashes into my brain out of nowhere. Busey wasn't in 48 Hours, Nolte was. I, Mr. Movie Collection, made a mistake that blunderous!?! Un-be-leivable. Sometimes I feel like an idiot. But I just have a pop tart instead.
Ok, tech gurus... Sitting a computer that was poorly managed before I came along... In all their infinite wisdom, someone thought it'd be a good idea to disable the "run" command. How in the world can I get to a command prompt? XP. edit... nevermind. Duh.
Not on the start menu, and when you tried to do winkey+r, it says "This command has been disabled by your administrator..." I need to go in and just restore the pol settings to their original settings. It's aggravating because when they set it up, they set it up as such that even the administrator is restricted on the machine. grrrrr....
yeah, sometimes that can happen by accident, you know...:ashamed001 but often times, it's an oversight/lack of understanding
Solvin' problems! Makin' the world a better place! Kickin' butt and takin' names! I sure hope somebody out there is doing these things, because I sure ain't.
I commend you for restraining yourself and not dropping an actual Rickroll. The Rick Astley vs. Nirvana was interesting. Worked better than I thought it would.
you might want to check it out again- I never knew there were so many odd covers of Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit"
