    It's 23:43 in Alabama.

I heard today was "Canada Day"...

This is sending some love to the 30DC up in the land of the Maple Leaf.

So, in honor of the occasion...

Currently 23Canadian with overcast skies and 77% humidity. Bullfrog calls galore.

    Other than that...

    All is quiet in Alabama.

(big props to @Primotenore for being the chief instigator for July.

    Joseph...

    Wear the Veg. Play strong!)

Cuts like a knife? I played the heck out of that album in grade 8. Was huge on the west coast (I was from about an hour away from North Van where he was from) and was a major local success story when I was in high school. Especially after Reckless in ‘84, which was hit and miss for me.
He lost me in my University days with some cheeseball ballads. ‘Everything I do I do it for you’ is still hive inducing to me. The difference between being 14 and 21, I suppose. I probably hadn’t purposely listened to a song of his for 30 years until I opened up your link yesterday.

Rush was the exact opposite for me. Wasn’t a fan at 14, figured out what they were doing in early adulthood, Love ‘em.

brian adams had a few good tunes,i am not a ballad guy .i called the soft stuff grope music back then..same as the hair bands in the 80s.still don't like rush with his squeaky voice..always been a who, stones, sabbath, priest, doors, floyd, zeppelin, clapton, type guy.i like dave brubeck now.70s queen was good.everyone else had a hit or 2 that i liked..beyond that no interest..oh yeah, the beatles suck..

20200701_222036.jpg I did shave today but didnt get a pic . I used Stirling Gatlenburg, Canadian shick e3, Black pearl brush and by request Gucci Guilty. Went to a carshow , dinner with her parents then to an outdoor concert and fireworks. Lots of social distancing and masks were worn. Even had to distance the cars . Wasn't like old times but at least it was something to celebrate the day! 20200702_024448.jpg

I agree, Perry. It's widely known that Julius Caesar was a great fan of lemon meringue pie.

I'm gonna try not to mess up the multi-quote (too badly anyway)...

Thanks Jim! It's only a single post so far. I'll try to keep up. No promises....
The soap was showing signs of going down anyway. Your idea of using one soap for the workweek and changing it up for the weekend gave me the inspiration.
Now that you've had the L1 plate for the Sabre for a little while, what to do think of it?

    Thank you, Gary!

Thank you, Jeff! Pleasure to "meet" you! You've been an awesome contributor to this thread. I truly admire your dedication to learning open blade shaving, especially given your circumstances. Very commendable, sir! For about ten years, I lived close to your neck of the woods (Quakertown, PA area). I now reside in Western Maryland, and still make trips out that way from time to time.

Thanks Tim! I picked up an order of GEM blades from tryablade.com recently. I believe the PTFE version might be in there as well (I'll have to look). The CVS carbons are great, and it'll be surprising if anything can top them. As far as the container - that's "Soap" by Grooming Dept. Technically, I think it's somewhat of a fougere scent. Like many of Mo's scents, first whiff from the tub didn't impress, yet over time you kinda get hooked on the scent. He has a way of making scents that are complex and very different.

Thanks, Blair! The color coordination wasn't intentional, but it worked.:)

Whew....my apologies if I screwed this up.

I love how smooth the Sabre L1 shaves, narrow sweet spot though. Maintain the proper angle and the L1 gives a sweet shave.
