Jim Beam Double Oak in the rocks. I don't think I'll buy it again. There's not enough depth to make you want to drink it neat, and it's not strong enough to stand up to ice. It would make a great starter bourbon.
Stagg beer,. It was a hot day at work, and when I got off, I wanted a beer! I normally drink beer with food, but when I’m not eating and I want a beer, Stagg is the best. No sugar, no carbs, it doesn’t make you feel bloated if you have more than one. Very ‘dry’ beer, no aftertaste, awesome .
I have a glass of iced coffee with Jameson’s Irish Whiskey. While I am sitting here at my desk with my 357 magnum is within hands reach.
Ardbeg Corryvreckan and a drop of water to open it up. Tastes like caramel, pepper, peat, and Band-Aid's; a favorite of mine!
Single Malt from Islay is an acquired taste I suppose. Sort of like The Veg maybe... It picks you; not the other way around. I think a Veg lover would enjoy whisky from Islay.
If you like those, then Laphroaig and Ardbeg are in the same vein! I prefer Laphroaig to Ardbeg, but Ardbeg is $20.00 cheaper here. I am not so good with tasting notes, obviously. Talisker is quite a tasty dram as well.
