2020-07-03, Friday After a night of thunderstorm (I think), morning of rehearsals. I was curious to personally check all the comments read over time on the debated Saxon razor and, at the same time, the criticized blades of the same brand. The razor seemed curious to me: I'm not crazy about the two pieces (unless they are on Marie Avgeropoulos or Yaya Dacosta) because of maintenance issues. Also, my peg is quite hard to rotate (and I wonder if it's to be lubricated) but, used, out of caution, on #1, it worked unexpectedly well on a minimal growth. A second pass, as a touch-up, on # 2 ha gave me a perfectly smooth skin. I liked the blade, in spite of a certain fear because any small cut, on me, has devastating effects! It didn't seem to slide very well and I was afraid I'd have my skin on fire, but it didn't... I felt neither the alum, nor the alcoholic AS and neither the EdT. I'm not going to retrace my steps by including it in my paraphernalia, especially considering that I still want to try it on other razors. But, on this one, I was fully satisfied. The soap d'antan is mechanically excellent (having also lost moisture) and the scent It's not the original one anymore: I'm afraid I've re-perfumed it with some EO not up to the original one. But the mechanical performance was, as always, very satisfactory. Friday's Shave Cold Water Rinse TSD Iced Lemongrass Jayaruh #413 Two-band badger Gillette Goodwill Gillette Silver Blue CWR Granddad's Blend AS The TSD Iced Lemongrass Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #413 Two-band Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Goodwill with a Gillette Silver Blue blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Granddad's Blend AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
