The first one looks like old fashion candy the second one is just plain beautiful!!

The first one looks very interesting and I absolutely love the second one.

A good friend wanted another brush. He picked up this hybrid blank and the knot and asked me to make a brush of similar shape and size to one I previously made him.

This was my first time turning a hybrid blank. It was a little tricky in spots but overall went pretty good.

The knot is a 26mm Two band badger from Maggard's.

You did fine. Very nice.

Beautiful wood- what a find!

My wife has taken over my workspace for now as she needs more space for all the stuff that relates to the business. The weather is nice so I've set up the lathe in the backyard under the shade of a large maple tree. The biggest change in all this is that I can't turn resin outdoors, there's just no way to contain the shavings. So, this is making me rethink my approach to shaving brushes. I'm trying out some stuff and am really happy with the results so far. It's nice to not be limited by the size of a mold!
