After yesterday its back to knocking out the Mike's Lavender. I emptied the shave stick into a small bowl from my wife. While I enjoy shave sticks, I prefer to load the brush from the tub or bowl. The Mr EE #4 loaded and lathered the Mike's with ease. Inspired by Jim @jluc Rex shave yesterday, I dialed the Rex up to 6.5. I rode the safety bar the entire shave. Even wide open the shave was super smooth and drama free. The simple change of riding the bar moved the Rex from a razor I really enjoyed to one I absolutely love. The knot in this brush came from Neil at Heritage. I haven't had any trouble with it. The jury is still out on TnS Shoat knot. I need to get more uses with it.

Wonderful shave and picture, Clint! The @MrEE brush and Ambassador look like they were made for each other.
I was so impressed with my shave this morning I'm anxious to try my other razors riding the safety bar.

Thank you Jim. I agree the Rex/MrEE brush are meant to be used together. I know the Enoch works better for me riding the bar. I wouldn't have thought about the Rex without reading it on DFS.

 

Outstanding shave, Jim! I really never mentioned it because everyone seems to believe riding the cap is the only way to shave with a safety. I almost always use the safety bar and I am not pressing it into my skin. Quite frankly, I don't think about where I put my safety, I just shave.

 

Isn't it great to be pleasantly surprised by using the razor differently! Great shsve, Clint!

 

Clint are you riding at a steep or shallow angle on the Rex bar?

I have the handle short of parallel to my face. The handle is maybe half way between parallel to my face and parallel to the floor
