  4. yay, flat tire...what the #e11 else can foul up?
  5. Reminder to myself:

Do not attempt record bench press while suffering from flu!!!

Of course, I did it anyway, and failed. Oh well, one of these days I will break the into the 300 club.
  6. well, when you do, we'll welcome you with open arms...
    ...arms ready to crush!

  7. It's something in the air around Distraction, dude. I've been having a fairly crummy one myself... sorry about your tire though... that sucks.
  8. Sam Raimi would have to direct it. And yeah, I'd pay to see it. A couple times.

I know how you feel. :(
  9. Jim, you know how many times I have attempted it? Too many!! For some reason I have been stuck at 285 being my max for a looonnggg time. No matter what I do, I cannot get past it. Now, for my weight, that is okay (I still only weight about 155).
  10. yeah, I'd say for your size, 285 is quite a bit, and 300 will take a bit of work (and not trying while your immune system is afoul!), but should be able to get there.
I'll look through some of my stuff see if I can find some of the tidbits that might help you, when I get a chance
  11. anybody else hearing about the stuff going on at Fort Hood?

    that's craziness right there

  12. Nope. What happened?

  13. My bench has never been very strong. Dead lifts and squats are my thing.
  14. WTF???

Crazy days we live in, and things will just keep getting worse. It has been foreseen, and it will come to pass.
  15. those are much more useful anyway.
I've never been much of a bench'er, either, and never focused on it, I was just lucky enough to be able to do it when I did. I never quite got to 380, but was close.
I much more prefer real-life benchmarks, like pushups, situps and squats, unless you're in a profession where other stuff is necessary, too much risk in long-term injury vs. body weight calisthenic strength
  16. They could just call it "Fan Service: The Film"

That's kind of scary, but you know, take a bunch of stressed out soldiers with access to heavy artillery, and it's only a matter of time. I'll be saying a prayer for the families of those stationed there.
  17. yeup
  18. I've had Cat Stevens songs stuck in my head way too much recently.

Just got a package from TSD in the mail today! Woohoo!
