Looks like an Ever Ready Lather catcher. Should use modern blades, unfortunately, it appears the clip that holds in the blade is loose or broken.

 

What it is would be something I want lol..

That is an early 1900 probably around 1910 or so model Ever ready lather catcher. Should shave great. I love my lather catchers. Dave could give you a little better ideal of the year. Most of use are somewhat cloudy on how to pin them down. But that is a close bet .

ohh missed that in the last picture there Rodd. Yes I did... I have never looked to see how they are put together . might be repairable.

Dave said that the ER lather catcher I have is a 1914.

IIRC That style ER lather catcher doesn't have a bar to hold the blade down. Instead, the blade slides under those clips on the sides. The clips are mounted on a spring and they hold the blade down. There are a pair of stops to keep the blade from going too far forwards and then the catch at the end swings up and keeps the blade from sliding backwards.

YUP.. my 1911 Junior is like that.. I think it shaves better then my 1910 junior that has the bar also. Love those things ..... as you may have heard,.

I must say.. this shirt has lots of potential!

 

It's building up to be a great game, that's for sure!

I'm expecting a low score, similar to LSU vs. Fla.
But, with these two teams, it could be 28-0 at halftime, either team

reminds me of high school rivals, where one teams can be state championship bound, and the other gets beat by its own jr. high team, yet it'll be a close game, if not an upset!

Well I have been at work for 4 hours and I haven't even started grading. We were moving materials from one part of the building to another. Time for lunch and then back to grade. bleh....

 

Mixed feelings on the packages I just opened in the mail.

The 1910 Lather catcher I picked up for $12.50 shipped looks great. I can't wait to use it

The Shave King that I have been searching and finally found, has two missing teeth. Contacted the seller. I was surprised that it has an aluminum handle, is that true of all of them?

GAHH got to hate missing teeth.. I have noted before that SE guys all seem to like Open Comb DE's......

I a really not all hyped on the shave king... now if I find a double ring at a decent price that is different.
