Gary, your collection is not stale by any stretch! It's more diverse, historical and above all beautifully unique.

Love citrus scented soaps! That's a shave fit for an emperor! Have a great day, Clint!

    The theme of today's shave:

First shave with a new puck of Yardley.

Not my first experience with Yardley, as I have owned and used the Black Label and the Red/Black Label.
Cracked the still-sealed container and lightly-bloomed the rock-hard, albeit somewhat fragrant soap.
The Rubberset had zero issues ripping into the soap and created this gorgeous goo:

    Stunning in every way.
    Unbelievably slick :happy088:
    Nice, subtile scent :happy088:
    Dense, yet shiny and
    yogurty lather :happy088:
    Uber-protective :happy088:
    Post-shave extraordinaire :happy088::happy088:
The Gillette was loaded with the multi-use Personna 74 and man-oh-man did it perform well.
    Baby in the house, y'all.
I would put this soap up against THE most expensive artisan soap of today---Seriously.
Finished with what I believe my Welsh grandfather used to use. I can't prove it,
but I have this distant memory of this bottle in his bathroom.
The Yardley After Shaving Lotion is a very light, crisp, perhaps citrusy scent.
Not intrusive at all. Left my kisser extremely kissable.

Thank you Bruce. As I finish softer artisan soaps, I am making a real effort to replace them with harder soaps. I plan to keep a few artisan soaps around but end up with mostly harder soaps.

Hi Gary. Thank you. Y'know, I probably shaved with this Clubman duo many times in my teens. The trend continues through today, as we see, and will continue through my "elder years"(course at 63 I'm approaching them).

Wonderful shave report and photos Joseph. I am really coming to appreciate well done subtile scents of soaps and aftershaves.

I always had fun as a teen with Yardley "Soap On A Rope"(in the shower), but I guess I just didn't have enough confidence that it also comes in aftershave and shave soap(course I never really got into the shave soap persuasion until joining TSD).
