This really is a good Razor, especially for newcomers to SE Razors. Being the last run of the British ER, matches well with a modern blade.

Though rather Care Worn the 1924 actually Shaves quite smoothly for me, perhaps the longer handle help. Besides being Smooth the quality finish is not at all shabby.

The Proraso Red Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #224 synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the TNNSER with a GEM Stainless SE blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

SE SOTD- like to use my real McCoy Gem 1912 OC every once in a while because it is a great razor, it is milder mid range with good efficiency. This razor is what started Gem to produce millions of improved variant models of the 1912 over the decades and other American.Safety.Razor brand names used this razor head also for sales but stamped their brand on it.

Razor: Gem 1912 OC - Mfg 1912-17, excellent razor, 3 pass with pickups will deliver a close shave for myself.
Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE (6) excellent blade, very sharp, excellent cost per 100pcs, very predictable smoothing out when using.(I like to use a milder Gem razor for the first few shaves to take advantage of the sharpness.)
Soap: Razorock Don Marco- great citrus scent with good lather qualities.
Brush: Razorock Plissoft 24 mm systhetic- Excellent brush for bowl lathering, soft tips, have used it for the last 3 1/2 yrs with enjoyment.
Pre shave: Brush wash my whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser+ a dollop of Aloe Vera gel on beard area.
Prep: cold water rinse after each pass of 3 + pickups.
Post shave: Razorock Emperor with witch Hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = excellent shave with my Gem 1912 OC.

Shave was bit more aggressive and less smooth than the last pass on this razor with this blade. It was definitely closer to beard buster. Also the finish was closer than the last time. Only thing I can figure is maybe it is how these blades sit on the shoulders. Because the edges are beveled they almost never sit straight on the stops. One thing that you can do is center them easily by opening the lever and shutting it. Next shave will see if the blade mellows out or not when centered correctly.

Another 3D Creation by Mr Tom White, takes Injector blade fitted to top cover and ingeniously slotted into base and secured by magnets. Shaves very smoothly with a nice degree of blade feel, very efficient in all areas but needed the lightest of touches.
By going for ultra close, got a weeper on underside of my chin, but no other problems. Reminds of the Shaves I get with my Canadian E2 and N3 with a single blade. Looking forward to tomorrow to see how it goes as a Daily Shaver.
