Rolls razors have a built-in strop and hone mechanism so I don't see why there would be a problem in keeping the blade sharp.

Super fun image Jim! Awesome color pop with some great products.

And.....an alternative to the DLSR. Mini tripod w/phone clamp, add Bluetooth shutter trigger (smartwatches can do this too).

What I use is overkill (purchased for 5 lbs of camera and lens), but you'll get the idea. The cameras inside top model Android or iOS phones of the last couple years have more resolution than 35mm film (obviously not the lens changing or zooming capability -> digital zoom is not the same). Here's what I use a good bit of the time. A side benefit, using the phone clamp with a monopod, gets the duty of video recorder too, for those band performances:

If I were ever to repaint mine, I will probably use the 'International Harvester Red' color. This razor will be staying in my collection.
I have two Rolls Razors sets that I got for under $10 - still haven't shaved with them yet. Guess I am waiting for the shavepocolypse and I run out of other blades.

Lovely, Mark. I had that exact Sumo in my shave den for a while. Good ergonomics.

In 1956 there was the red tip B4. In 1957, I entered this earth. (Joseph, you don't have to read that!!).

You should give the rolls a try. There are videos to get you up to speed on the honing process, but the blade will never measure up to modern SS ones. I participated in a Rolls Razor usage training at the last Shave Collectibles Mtg in Cincinnati back in October 2019, and even the leader affirmed that.

Keeping with the caesarian thematic material, I did choose an Italian Soap/Cologne product.
The AdP cream has dried considerably and while I could take a brush directly to the "puck",
most of my brushes don't fit well in the narrow container.
Took a finger full and smeared it on the bottom of my Aesop (Latin, BTW) bowl.
The Persian Jar (where does THAT fit in?) created an over-abundance of very nice lather.
AdP never achieves the shine other soaps do, but it perfumes great and the scent is heavenly.
Once again, the Personna 74 did an admiral job of shaving, today loaded into
my Barbasol FH razor. As I have mentioned, this razor needs two hands to lift,
so heavy is the handle, but I also said, and stand by the statement, that as far
    as a shaver goes, it's a pussycat.
The angle is easy to find and maintain.
I did need some buffing, which is a good indicator, that the blade is approaching the
    end of its useful life.
Post-shave of the AdP is well above-average.
The 5-6 spritzes of the cologne will have the women of the office fighting over me.
    Don't tell Dr. Mrs. Primo.

    Agreed, Joe.
To be perfectly honest, I just haven't put any effort into it. The stone seems OK. The strop has a divot in the middle. There still may be enough surface for it to work.

I'm glad the women will be fighting over you and your cologne, rather than telling you to leave because the fragrance is too sexy for them to do their work.
