  1. you shaved Mrs.Primo in the shower?:DAwesome shave Joseph..:)
  2. Excellent, thorough report, Jeff!
I have seen that MC razor online before, but always read it takes Personna "Mini" Hair Shaper blades. I didn't know until now that they were regular injector blades.
  3. Great results, Paul! Go for a Turkey tomorrow!

  4. Exceptional photo and shave, Clint! Looks like you stopped during a hike up Stone Mountain for the picture. :D
  5. Very nice, Mark. The brush handle looks like it's made from cobalt glass.

  6. It seems like I may have heard the 1927 version in some old movies.

  7. Congratulations, Jim! I hope you like it. Be patient with it, and use a Feather blade with it. The Maestro and I disagree on the blade, but we both agree that it's not a 'mild' razor. Given your experience, I expect you'll be up to speed on it quickly.
  8. July 18 SOTD Saturday Special

    1959 (E2) Gillette Fatboy (9)
    Rockwell DE Blade (?)
Chiseled Face Cryogen SS (First Puck)
    Chiseled Face Aftershave

    Above the Shoulder Shave

This shave is dedicated to Gary @brit because we have a special friendship here and I am using a Gillette Razor to show solidarity to him and to the other safety razor shavers.

My goals are to get a great shave on face, neck and head without error and to start finishing this puck. I have to say that I accomplished it. The Cryogen is a very thirsty lather that can be tricky to lather because it doesn't start out like a regular tallow soap. At first, it appears to have clear spots, but once you continue to add the water, you will get a nice lather. It has some residual slickness so you can buff which is a good thing. Yes, it is very cold especially during subsequent passes so it does live up to its reputation. Again, my beef with it is that it turns to a gelatinous mess in the tub and that I won't get the usual amount of shaves with this puck. However, I did buy another puck and see of I can change how I use it so as not to run into problems like I did with this first puck. I won't start using the new puck until this one is done. I have to say 2.5 passes on my beard and 3 passes on dome with minor touchups gave me a BBS shave on all fronts. Double portion of the aftershave and I am still feeling the menthol effects after 1 hour. Have a nice day guys! 20200718_111523.jpg 20200718_111523.jpg
  9. Shaved beautifully for me with the Schick B-20 Proline, the same blade I use in all my injectors.
  10. That is a wonderful looking razor, Gary! Glad it's a fine shaver too. I like the Orwellian, industrial look/feel of the picture today.

  16. That my friend is definitely arguable! It ain't the look of the steak that sells it, it's the sizzle, and you've plenty of that! One never sells steak, one sells sizzle, to be metaphorical!
