    Great shave and report, Bill! I also agree about Gary’s stellar British Gillette collection. I’ve offered several times to house it for him, but he’s not having it! :angelic007: And I agree with your conclusion! A good shave is whatever we believe a good shave that day to be! My shave today will be with my recently repaired Schick Type F - all kudos going to Tom White @twhite From Jeff Greene! I’ll discuss the particulars in my commentary this morning?

    Awesome shave and writeup, Bill! Well said.
    Basic shaves can still be fabulous. High end gear looks pretty, however it doesn't necessarily do a better job.

    JustOneJuly marches on. Day two of 90+ so the pool awaits. Last evening I prepared a brine for the whole chicken that will either be smoked today or tomorrow..

    As for today’s shave, the third with the Kai Captain Pro Titan Pro Touch MG, I continued with my usual three passes. I easily could have stopped after second pass. However, I do enjoy the whole process of the three passes. I would assess this a Darn Near Perfect shave. The only aspect that keep it from perfect is the usual jawline hinge area, left side, Astro turf feel. I could have tried to buff it but I did not want to chase. As a result, for the third straight day there were not any cuts or weepers.

    Not as good of a shave as yesterday, but I was still pleased. I put in about 8 Stoylin Frost Drops, which clearly moistened the Stoylin soap(another run with Blood on Steel). Two solid passes, each of which followed a little more soap-spreading than I usually do. This is a new focus for me....take special advantage of the soap on the brush-do what it's there for, and take your time doing it. No cuts, just one nick/weeper just west of the lip area. Nice job otherwise...Cactus Nation looks&feels great. I think I could call this one Super Duper Excellent (the weeper brought the rating down a notch from THE BEST).
