Very nice Joe. I commend you for not throwing that mess of a soap out. I am not sure I could do it.

Great shave, Joe! Sorry about the weeps. You should give Osage Rub a try, it’s not expensive and is an excellent refreshing menthol splash.

Thank you, Clint! My parents were from the Depression era and I guess they instilled in me not to waste anything that is still usuable. With that said, I might still be able to get more shaves out of this puck than I originally thought, but still it won't be anywhere near the normal amount off a puck. Again, when I start on my second puck of the Cryogen, then I want to see if my corrections make a difference in maintaining texture and longevity. I am doing this because I want to see this soap succeed because it is slick and it is very cold to the skin. Hopefully, it will be all systems go and full speed ahead.

Thanks Jeff! My weepers are generally tiny so I don't worry about them because they are invisible after I finish my shave. It's slicing pinkies that I look with disdain. As far as Osage Rub, I have seen YouTubers use it and they seem to like it. I just don't like big, cumbersome bottles.

Oh I know, I realize we were having an honest respectful discussion. Actually, now that I see some changes have been made to it(sorry, the Hoppes is still in there), it might be worth another try. But on the flip side, after making my Most Expensive Shave Order I Have Ever Made As a TSD Member this fall, I should be satisfied to put MS aside for awhile.

Well, that's all interesting, and news to me. Then we get to the problem I had last year of why they didn't come out as "drops" just plain liquid(when I wasn't shaking it, as now).

Ok, misunderstood your original post. When you shake the bottle, you are incorporating air (bubbles) into the solution so the liquid is spread out. The air partially blocks the opening so you get drops coming out. I am not a physicist so I could be wrong, but that is my plausible explanation.

That doesn't sound like a meaningful reason. Who sees the bottle, but you. The beauty of Osage Rub is you get a lot for your dollar. I thought a kid raised by folks who instilled an appreciation for thriftiness would recognize the return on investment. ;)

I just don't like big bottles taking up too much space when I do not have such a big area to store everything. However, I do like big razors!

I don't have the bottle of Frost Drops, but I would venture to say it needs shaking like a bottle of Italian salad dressing. Something in the solution has settled to the bottom, possibly the menthol.

Great photo and report, Clint! Is the AS-D2 still in the wishlist? Or, um.....?
