Ok, wasn't sure. No, Amy's worried that we aren't going to be fancy enough for when we have her side of the family over.
OHHHH ... hummmm nothing I have ever worried about. Not being a fancy type myself.. well other then I shave with a 1911 Gem
Long story really, but I work in a steel mill, fancy isn't in my way of life either. Funny thing is, her dad was a farmer/factory worker, he isn't that way either. Her mom inherited some money and likes to put on quite a show, and that has rubbed off on her 2 sisters.
I say stick with Dad and the beer.. but then again I am a shoot them in the foot and feed them bony fish heads type guy if they do not like how I live.
Time for me to head out, 5:15 will be here before I know it. Have a good night Cal, I hope all goes well with the Dr. tomorrow.
Morning everyone Cal, glad to hear the stitches are coming out. Mike, come on... you know you want to try a straight....
so glad I read this post carefully - no telling what may have come to mind had overlooked the next to last word....
by the way, was that not an awesome finish to the Colts-Patriots game?! wow! Faith Hill at the beginning, incredible comeback at the end - how can it get any better?
love it. I have so many aftershaves right now they've overflowed from the countertop to the nearby shelf. I'll definitely look it up after I use up some of my other aftershaves. I'm waiting for this to happen in my household. My folks are coming up for the holidays and the wife doesn't always get along with the mother in law. To be fair, the mother in law doesn't play nice. So I'm waiting for the "house is a mess, I'm stressed" rants to start.
I am not a morning person; I'm so groggy in the morning I'm afraid I'd hack my face up. You shoulda seen what I did to myself with an open comb micromatic when I tried to use it on a morning when I wasn't awake. The guy helping me prep for the service turned to me and said, "what happened to your face?" So no straight razors. *emphasis added for Jim's sake.
Got a little chatty after I left this weekend, I see. I'm not going to go back and read those two pages. Instead, I'll just post these blanket statements and hope they cover everything. Jim, put your pants back on. Hey, you, enjoy that new pen! Sorry to hear you're having a rough weekend, maybe today your kid/boss/spouse will be in a better mood! Go Sports Ball Team of your choosing! That cover it? Okay, so now I'm in the process of trying to educate my staff on the virtues of Open Office vs. Microsoft Office. (But, if they're going to college they need to know how to use Powerpoint, wah, wah waaaaah)
TWGW's blog entry on vintage razors had this link left in its comments. Thought y'all might enjoy it. Any of our HYD'ers in the NYC area? http://tragedyny.wordpress.com/ Hey Jim, Doug, do either of you know if Peacock's or Coats's offers straight razor shaves?
