It sure is. I do not spend much time in it. I like to cool off, get out and go back in when I heat up. Thank you Clint.

I didn't get on the list until May. Maybe I'll have it for Christmas.

Thank you Joe.....traditionally I've been doing "can" shaves more often than soaps in the summertime..but I admit to trying to find ways to get more soap shaves in.

I just saw on DFS thread that people are getting contacted more quickly than anticipated. I was offered the option of postponing my order to a better time or going forward now. I think a lot of folks are postponing given the current circumstances.

    Well, I'm learning something!
Just be glad I don't post a ultra close up of every shaving bump and razor burn. Oh wait, what is that... ew.

I figured I could fart around with various settings and sometimes frustration for couple more years, or do this "experiment" and really know what's best for me.

That is why I did not give the price range. How does he think it is different from other Japanese razors?

I started it years ago with MdC, MdC tends to leave my skin dry after the shave so I added a few drops, It not only improved the post shave feel of MdC but also seemed to improve the performance of the soap.

@Keithmax Do you use 100% lanolin oil? I was just searching on Amazon.

    I use Now liquid lanolin.

Cool. Thank you Keith. I had put it in the wish list already. I will order it and give it a try.

    Thank you, Jeff!
There’s no denying the performance aspect of MWF. It just works. A ballad singing it’s praises though? Contact Primo...he could collaborate with you. ;)

Now, I do enjoy the scent of Tabac. Again...it’s a performer too. I even prefer it to the Fat by a slight margin.

Hmmm....sounds like the next trip out to Eastern PA, I need to drop by and pick through your soap stash. :D

TGIF! I was not 'feeling it' this morning so I followed my own advice and put down the straight and dropped an Iridium Super (2) into my Janus Toggle and turned it all the way up. Decided to keep going with lanolin as Jeff suggested additional benefits beyond just the aftershave feel.... so I soaked my puck of MWF. Today's brush is definitely in my top tier, an Elite Razor copper laced onyx handle with a 'Manchurian white' knot.

The shave was just a hair short of epic and I know feel like I have the Janus Toggle dialed in. I did not read any of the reviews prior to several uses of the razor as I did not want to be biased and I was surprised to see the negativity. This is an homage razor and it does shave allot better than the original Toggle. My only complaint would be that numbers could be darker and a little larger. The reviewers all compared this razor to 'in' 3 piece DE razors, and how they feel the 'in' offering are superior. I can not attest to that but I can say this razor is capable of excellent and epic shaves. The quality and attention to detail on my razor is superb. Was the price too high????? If you think of it as just a blade holder yes, clearly you can get excellent shaves for much less, but that is true of all expensive razors. If you think of it as a homage piece and the work that when it to it, they beauty and price are in the eye of the beholder.

I am not negative to the 'in' razors, they are definitely fine looking razors and I do not doubt they can deliver great shaves.
