    My English Tech should be in today, and I got to thinkin'...what blade for the maiden voyage?

    I've got an assortment of Gillette Platinums, BIC chrome platinums, Sputnik teflon-coated, Polsilver (Lodz & Super Iridium), a variety of 7 o'clocks, and a few others. I think I'll use one of my few blue box 7 o'clock Super Platinums, the good ones that are Russian-made. I still have two full tucks, but I'll save those for (other) special occasions.

    I never found much difference between those two blades. Both are nice and give me good shaves.

    I'd use whatever blade you feel is the sharpest. Sharp blades pair perfectly with mild razors, imo.
