Thanks, Joe! I'm merely out of practice. Quite awhile back a did 100 consecutive shaves with the Parker (well...nearly consecutive, technically speaking. If I recall, there was one day where I broke the run and used a DE).

It took awhile to get the hang of it. The first couple of shaves were nerve-racking. After that it was a matter of getting used to the grips and using my offhand. From there things progressed slowly but surely, until the point it felt natural. What this morning's shave shows me, is something I've known all along. I need to get it out and use it more often, and keep the muscle memory fresh.

I still think the worst cut I've ever gotten from the Parker wasn't on my face...it was on my knuckle. For the life of me, I don't know how it even happened. Chances are, a move happened faster than it should've and my hand was in the line of fire. :)

One thing is for sure. An open blade keeps you honest with technique. There is little to no forgiveness.

Thank you, Clint! It was a fairly nice, albeit rather unproductive day. We did make a run out and picked up paint, a faucet, etc. for the bathroom - so, not totally a "wasted" day. Gotta say, it was enjoyable being lazy. I have a feeling that tomorrow I'll be expected to put forth some effort on the project. ;)
I hope you had a nice day, and a good visit with your mom. Did you get into anything else when you got home?

Epic or not, fantastic shave Clint. How would you describe the scent of the soap?

Good looking shave. Sometimes we forget to listen to our inner thoughts. The neurons were firing but hey I got this. Oops! Been there, done that! Still a very productive day Joe.

Wow! A great shave Andrew. I have had several people from various forums mention that I should pick up some Tuscan Oud. I will when my soap buying freeze thaws.

Thanks Joe! It is still going to be hot this upcoming week. That's ok! I will be running the table with 8 more daily shaves with Cryogen to complete my experiment with this new puck.

That's my kind of day. I have a busy day tomorrow. Maya and I are going to see a meet a greyhound at a local Greyhound Adoption location. Assuming we like the dog, we will be welcoming a new member into the family.

Thank you Joe. The soap is a very lightly scented soap. They describe it as pepper over woods. I would say very light cologne type scent. The scent is just strong enough to last while lathering and then disappears.
