    Regardless of shave quality, my shaves last significantly longer with a straight or a shavette, than with any other razor.

    That's one thing I don't like about the weather here....it can be boiling hot and humid in the summer and frostbite freezing in the winter. Probably like that in many places, I suppose. Now as I look back, the best place for weather where I lived was the year my family lived on the Stanford campus...my dad was a visiting law professor. We didn't experience the summer much, but it was pleasantly mild the whole year. College baseball starting in late February...60's for Christmas....NICE.

    For my razor collection, only 5 are current modern production. The rest are either vintage or antique. I've just been neglecting some of the vintage Gillettes lately.

    Fantastic shave and photo, Clint. That's a shame about the boar knot. I hope it either improves dramatically and fast, or you find a better knot for it. The handle is too beautiful to be left in a drawer. ;)

    good morning gents.pulled out the 49 post war design brit tech,loaded with a russian green.has a rare thin handle,i have seen this handle in a set or 2 but not sure,little info.fine proraso lather with the big boar,bbs in 3 combination type passes=2+ with a little extra buffing.fabulous proraso green aftershave.to finish.love this stuff.awesome shave.have a fine monday everyone..
