  2. The shape is quit similar, but the OC is bowed. They are great shavers. Get anyone of the with the exception of the #61, still a good shaver, but a different design, more English than French.

  3. Thank you Joseph...We now know 1929 was the OFFICIAL opening, but it became what it is today in 1955-56. I don't know what happened in 1917(the year on the current Ice Blue). Maybe that was the year the planning of it began. I'm going to say 1929, with an asterisk and explain the asterisk, when I use my AV on a "Throwback Thursday". 1929 and 1956 are easy years to remember for me-my Mom was born in 1929, she began her pregnancy with me in late '56. :).

  9. SOTD MONDAY JULY 27, 2020

Today I had to have a previously scheduled medical procedure which Wii’s be repeated in two weeks. I feel like I just went two rounds with a pit-fighting champion. So the post will be short. Excellent shave all about, although I can never get it as close as I’d like with the open edge on my neck. Everything above the jawline was VBBS, but the neck around the Adam’s Apple only DFS. Thankfully, the Vector cleaned things up there leaving me feeling cool, clean and velveteen.

RAZOR: Feather SS (Mug), Blackland Vector
    BLADE: Feather Super in both
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by Rabid Banana Preshave Cube
BRUSH: Rearden Razor 316L SS synthetic
    SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat w/ 6 drops of M-Bomb
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash w/ brush squeezings followed by Humphreys WH and
Osage Rub. Finished with Krampert’s Frostbite.

  20. Really terrific shot, Bruce. The Stirling brush, imo, is THE best badger brush---for the money, on today's market. I give them regularly as gifts.
