Congrats Clint. I bet those Apple Watches are packed with cool features. I'm tempted to check them out...but I'd probably want one. :)

I hope you are well and staying safe. I have to admit...we have escaped the hot summer weather this year. It has been gorgeous in Minnesota. We've had many days here in the 80s with crystal clear skies. I'm sitting in one of the indoor common areas with a fleece jacket on right now.

I'm shaving most every day even though my mug is covered with a hospital face mask. We even have to wear them in the common areas of the transplant house. In one of my sillier moments, I removed my mask to show our dietitian what a BBS shave looks like. :)

I think you are missing my point. You have a 30 degree angle of attack differential that gives you more play than any safety. It's all on the straight shaver to choose what angle is best for him whereas the choice is made for you when using a regular or adjustable safety. Yes, you can say that you are making a choice when choosing a setting, but it's built per the manufacturer's specs. It's why Gillette and others made a fortune by selling their razors and blades. I know this is not new to you or anyone here, but I do hope that I made my perspective more clear on the subject.

Hello Joseph! YES! Kathy is now on the upswing after spending a total of 35 days in the hospital. She is feeling better and getting stronger each day. We have three outpatient visits this week, so we're starting to get a little free time. We actually visited a city park yesterday and took a ride around town. Thank you, my friend, for asking about her.

Hey Jeff! I had mine serviced at 5 to 6 years of ownership...probably a bit early, to be honest. I've had it for a little more than 10 years. I think I'm going to push out the next service a few more years. It is running great. I need to do a time keeping check on it when I get home. I don't get too uptight about mechanical watch accuracy. I just love watches that wind up and tick.

I hope you are well, my straight razor shaving friend. :)

Thank you, Joe. Kathy has been a real fighter, and she's a much better patient than I would be.

Thanks Joe. It's good to find humor in the small things. There are long stretches in the hospital when unfortunately the TV is your only source of entertainment. I was watching "The Incredible Dr. Pol" (a horse and cow vet) one morning before our Mayo doc came in to see Kathy. I proceeded to tell him that Dr. Pol was more famous than him because he had his own TV show. Our doc didn't laugh. He may have grunted. I'm not sure. I was too busy giggling. He'll be glad when we leave town, I'm sure. :happy097:

lol.sorry Charlie.but i get it.some docs get the "i am god" mentality.probably not the case here but they are usually quite lacking in the humor dept.just my experience..:)

The weather sounds wonderful. We are hot and muggy with temps in the mid 90s and humidity hovering near 100%. I know you are ready to get back home. Maya will be going back to Lexington mid August.
