Probably better than a tongue stud, but still - ouch! Of course, I'm a woodwind player. Sore lips are not a good thing for players of wind instruments (bagpipes being the exception! ) So, what's going in them when the temp studs come out?
I've always had a thing for lip piercings once I can get new jewelry I'm probably going to buy a correctly sized set of studs like the ones I have in now (these are big to accommodate for the fact that my lip is really swollen) and a set of silver rings for them, possibly a black set too.
Yeah, I was wondering if there was a bit of swelling going on there. Looks ok on a female; on a guy it would look like he got punched in the mouth. A friend of mine has a daughter in her early 20's with one side of her lower lip pierced. She wears a ring most of the time. It offsets the septum ring. I've long been tolerant of such frippery. Some of it is kind of fun. How is your family taking it? edit: that's not a judgment - hope it didn't sound like one...
