Took youngest daughter to the range. Not bad for her 2nd magazine ever. Other holes are mine but my eyes are getting bad (an excuse and yet true).
Great job. That was about the same age my dad took me to the range. For me, it was a S&W Model 18 for my first few years of shooting. Then I got to shoot the .38 and .44 with light hand loads.
I shot some arrows in the rain & hit my target every time. Then, I had the good sense to pack it in, when I heard thunder.
The wife, the wife, and then the wife again. Great way to start the day. Sent from my LM-Q720 using Tapatalk
I built a firewood stand. 8 feet long and 6 feet high. I had to transfer the BBQ wood I had, next to the house, and that filled about 1/2 of it. I was working in sandals, and saw my dog about 2 feet from my feet, pawing at something and jumping back. I thought she was trying to kill another lizard, so I pulled her back, and it was a 20 long Copperhead Snake. It kept striking at her, and she jumped back, then tried to get away, and she would pull back. Well, I pulled it all the way out, into the open, and smashed its head with a stone. My Husky/Shepherd mix pretty much saved me from being bitten. Good Dog. In the end, the two young boys, across the street, got to get a good look at it, poke it with sticks, and learn what one of the .poisonous snakes around here looks like.
@DaltonGang I’m glad you & your dog are OK. My “manly” pursuit today is building a dozen arrows from components.
Today, I helped my brother shop for a slightly used pickup truck. Last week was not a good week for him. He had to have his horse put down, then a careless driver hit and totaled his truck a couple of days later.
Celebrated with my wife our 29th anniversary by going out to breakfast, walking a beautiful state park and enjoyed a couple large banana splits.
After work, I spent a bout 3 hours removing roughly 2.5 tons of water from my basement and there is plenty more to do. We received 4" of rain today and I lost count after the 50th emptying of the 12 gallon shop vac. Good times.
I just returned from a workout at the gym. Still only a scant number of members there. Makes it nice. I might do mornings only until it gets more comfortable weather-wise.
