Thank you gentlemen, I had been looking for this razor for the last few years, I’m happy that the search had finally paid off. Since all this craziness of the world has taken off I’ve been busier than ever, and haven’t had much time at all. It’s been nice finally being back to working in town for a few weeks.
July 30, 2020 Wolfman WR-1 OC Gillette 7 O’clock Black Zenith B25 Boar SC Cubebe Shave Soap & Aftershave This week is going by pretty quickly. I am addicted to the PAA Star Jelly with menthol. I use it almost every morning as a pre-shave treatment. The chill effect last well beyond the shave. The big Zenith boar loaded and lathered the SV Cubebe with ease. Three passes and touch ups ended in a near BBS. More than good enough for today. A splash of Cubebe aftershave and I am off to a client site for the day. I hope everyone has a great Thursday.
Yeah, the Krampert's has tea tree in it, and is a mixture, that requires a shake before each use. It is cooling. Had the matching soap a long time ago. Not a fan!
Well..not a real good shave today-and it's bad that this happens on a "Throwback Thursday". I will say that it was my first shave with the Rise (Invisible)Gel while wearing glasses. That made the approach better than when I didn't shave with my glasses on.But once I was ready to spread the gel across the face and neck, it was up to me to "guess" where I would spread it in order to have a decent shave, at best. I had to "guess" because I couldn't see it go on, a fact for which was well prepared, having done it a few times before. You could FEEL it go on, but that isn't enough satisfaction. "All bets are off...Hands on deck"(pick your favorite saying to describe it). One cut down at Cactus Nation. Finishing off with the Rise Cooling Balm was made difficult because I don't think I rinsed off all of the gel. You can't rinse what you can't see. In addition, this is a combination that is best done in a colder climate...face feels kind of sticky now. I'll save face tomorrow(No I did NOT write that lol). Oh, and neck, too. It was "acceptable" at best. Kinda Excellent.
Congrats on the epic shave, Keith! The gear is superb, especially the shiny razor I enjoyed reading the history on Turtle Ships. Thanks.
I've been a believer in tea tree oil ever since I was a teenager. My mom turned me on to it back then and it helped with my severe acne. Since then, it's helped me with any skin irritation imaginable and I always keep a bottle on hand. I've read that Australian soldiers were issued melaleuca oil in their kits during the World Wars.
That's still impressive, considering the level of craftsmanship that goes into one of his razors. I look forward to seeing it make its debut in your post (hopefully) soon.
You could also just add an item from the WCS list of New Arrivals to get free shipping for the whole order even under $45.
Thank you, gents!! Joe @JACarbone - When I went into work yesterday, I sat my lunch bag down in my usual spot on a bench and starting unpacking it. One of my coworkers was standing right there and mentioned how nice I smelled. Dunno if I should be flattered or not...
Maybe we should summon Clint @clint64 to explain the Clintonomics of ordering shave stuff and not getting enough to qualify for free shipping. It's just good math. Always go for the free shipping - even if it costs another $50. You mean you aren't sure of what options to go with?
