Just gorgeous, Clint! When you get your new one, you probably won't need that one anymore. I'd be more than happy to trade you a high quality *cough, cough* Assured razor from Dollar Tree for that Wolfman. I don't believe you have one of them in your den yet.
Outstanding shave setup and beautiful photo, Clint! Gorgeous razor (and brush)! I have a sample of the Star Jelly I should probably try. Better than Chel for you? When I use up my jar of that, I may buy Star Jelly if the sample is nice. Although I haven't used it as of late, I do like the mentholated Cube too (which I've worked down to a nub pretty much).
I qualify for free shipping for my upcoming order with Bill Neumann&Co.(All right, William Neumann, technically, I just like to be silly at times...although William's great-grandson, who comments on the site, does go by Bill). I checked with them, though, I barely tip the scales for the free shipping, but I'll have it.
Best guess here is that kept the enemy away, due to the odor. Kidding aside, the stuff does work, and does so quickly.
Oh...so you can do that? I wasn't certain if they'd ship the whole order for free, or if you'd get dinged ordering extras that weren't in the New Arrivals section. Good to know. Thanks!
From what I've read, he doesn't make the soap though. Just the two aftershaves. Does that sound correct?
Than You, Gents. Thanks Bruce, I love her voice. I miss her. Yes, Joe. My skin needs some time to show me how good is for me the product. In EU this Joserra soap can be a good choice if Stirling is too difficult / expencive. Now there is the thread. https://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/los-jabones-de-joserra.64491/
And of course I'll enjoy the free shipping I always get from the nearby CVS. Buy it and just flip it onto the passenger seat. No travel cost to do THAT )).
Addicted to BBS, but learning to tone it down. Cotton ball BBS but a red neck is not as presentable as a DFS with no irritation. As during the week I shave at night, I go BBS so it's still as best it can by by the AM. No longer, or not for long, BBS. If I'm going out someplace nice I'll shave again. For some reason people like to touch my shaved head (very annoying) and VBBS is more impressive than velcro. Weekends I do a more leisurely AM Shave and Sunday night a light one or two pass. In fact I'm more concerned with my head being VBBS and no shadow than my face. I am a CPA so shave daily. Sometime I am going to experiment with one pass face shaves in the AM. The round head is difficult to not have stripes on a single direction pass, and so at least two is needed. XTG, ATG
Could well be. In a previous raffle on here I did put up 2 of the Cooling Balms for a prize, but no winner chose them. The big shaving foam-THAT is what I miss!!!
Nearing the end of Rex Ambassador 30 day experiment Last night 4/2.25/.5 Not a great shave actually 4 was irritating on the neck and head even on the first pass even, and a weeper, on top. Then you go so light and careful the swath is narrow and you get a stripey head shave and the third mild pass has difficulties. No bumps this AM however. One more shave to try, one day past 30, but the full month. 2.5/1.75/1 + touchup swirly areas with soapy water or Thayers which I expect will be the sweet spot, for efficiency/comfort or maybe 2.25/2.25/2.5 as the best shave I've had this month was at 2.5/2.5/2.5 with some feel lingering. and then I'll do a final .5/.5/.5 to remind myself you can get BBS even with a mild razor, it just might take longer. August's experiment will be a sharpened butter knife. Oh the things we do to amuse ourselves.
The problem, David, with repeated passes is irritation, which I'm sure you're aware of. I'll look forward to your August experiment.
