Todays Shave Garantie Solingen silver steel import to France RazoRock xXx The Autumn Cream 24mm Silvertip 4711 Eau De Cologne The razor was listed as Garanti A. Grissola, that's all I know on the blade is a ship and the text in French with a translator, it says For The Better. Below that import from Germany, but it sure shaves nice for a 5/8th blade.
Saturday Straights' Shave Cold Water Rinse Van Der Hagen Luxury Shave Soap Jayaruh #414 silvertip J.A. Henckels 5/8 CWR Pinaud Clubman Vanilla The Van Der Hagen Luxury Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #414 silvertip brush. Two passes and touch ups with the J.A. Henckels 5/8 gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Clubman Vanilla AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
The Shepherd was up this morning, at 220+ years old, I really wonder when its last shave was. Interesting thought, and it’s ready for the next 200+ years. The edge was butter smooth and the shape of the blade was particularly easy on the neck and chin. Soap was vintage Cussons Imperial Leather and the AS was IC Rhubarb.
My favorite brand under the ERN umbrella... the ATOR. This should be one of the early ones. The trademark ATOR was granted in 1903, and this blade commemorates the Grand Prize won at the St. Louis Worlds Fair in 1904. The reverse has the a Wedgeway mark from the Morley Bros., a distributor out of Saginaw, MI. Enjoy your shave. Tom
Thanks Steve. I do appreciate this early one. Going to have to pull out his younger brother tomorrow.

Thanks Tom! I bought it on Ebay and it was shave ready. Last year, I honed it with lapping films and it has 36 shaves without refreshing it. I also have a Wosty 15/16 near wedge and she is also a fine razor.
The classic shape of the ERN ATOR... great lines in my opinion. A nice bookend with the early one. Enjoy your shave. Tom
Shave 150 with the Sub Cero and I’m hitting ‘pause’. I thought that I’d just wear this edge out but it’s worn me out instead, lol. It’s time to spend a little time with my other razors, like my own RigaRazor, Novodur 14, St Joanis, Grelot, Jwests, and other personal favorites. I’ll get back to the Sub Cero in a week or two, but not so intense as I’ve been doing to test strop secondaries the last couple of weeks. The edge is stropped and oiled, ready to stand by for a while.
