  2. Great shave, Andrew! Sorry about the irritation, but why use uncoated blades? I would sell them on one of the BSTs and stick with PTFE blades. I learned on my journey to regular VBBS shaves that uncoated blades and I don't do well together. Hope your day went well!
  3. Lovely shave with a stellar kit, Clint. Hope you had a great day!

  4. Ok, I'm intrigued. What's an inverted pass? Is it shaving the other side of one's face ATG with the hold flipped?
  5. Thanks, Clint!

  7. Bruce, I would suspect that Swati would be swinging a machete towards you as opposed to swooning. Clint did warn how he feared for his external anatomical appurtenances if he every showed up reeking of that stuff.
  8. Excellent setup and outstanding photo, Gary!

  11. It is shaving with the toe facing the floor. 99% of straight razor strokes have the toe sideways or straight-up. Simply put, the blade is upside-down.

  14. Thank you, Jeff! The sample blade I used today was just a “try and see” scenario. It didn’t agree with me so I’ve already binned the blade. As for the pack of PAL blades, they will suffice for paint scrapers and box cutters. They only cost $9 for 100 back when I bought them. GEM PTFE blades are the best fit for me.

My day was great. Hope yours was too.
  15. Very good. And interesting....

    Be the bevel...

    Carry on.

  18. I see your question has been answered. If you want to see it in action, here’s a video link. The inverted pass starts about 17 minutes in.

  20. For a straight razor blade upside drown....south to north pass, the spine is facing the floor, is it not? Toe would be either to the right or left, depending on the user’s hold.
