Lovely shaves, Keith! Love the scales on that Osiris, although the blade looks a bit intimidating. Beautiful Cobra Classic! Wish I hadn’t sold mine!

I was fortunately, big enough to be able to deal with the defense. If he played for Hopkins, which has always been top 5, then he was definitely out of my league.

My sons didn’t really start shaving regularly until they were in their mid twenties. One of my Older grandsons has started shaving with a Cart, and is ‘afraid’ to use a DE or SE which I offered to him because he doesn’t want to cut himself. I told him to give me a ring when he starts having to pay for those expensive, short-lived cart blades. Hers still at the peach fuzz stage. (16 1/2).

I have some TOBS shaving cream, which is very soft. Similar to Clint's idea, I just scoop about an almond-sized dollop out and put it on my face in a few spots. Then just face lather as normal. After a try or two, you could decide to use less or more of the cream to your liking. I don't worry too much about waste, given the number of soaps in the stash. And there is always going to be at least some waste since brushes hold a decent amount of lather in them. That ends ups getting rinsed out too.

    Good morning!

Wonderful shave to start the day! Three passes for near BBS. Nearly silent alum.

I fell behind on the thread yesterday. Turned into a crazy day. Called on three emergency repairs, each a bigger emergency than the last. The first one didn't get finished because the other two took priority. I know what I'm doing today, or at least I think I know.

As always great pics and reports, gentlemen. I'll be skimming through the thread as time allows.

    Have a great day!

Nice Pierpaolo. What are your thoughts on this soap?
I wasn't all that impressed with the SV Colonia. I use the original AdP and have used three pucks of RazoRock XXX (which, imo, is the best dupe) as well as Stirling Piacenza. The SV simply smelled like hotel soap. I was disappointed.

    Figaro Sapone Speciale~~Simpson "The Hive"~~1908 Gillette SR/Sharp Star~~SMN Nostalgia
The Figaro, as was explained to me, was the original P.160.
Where that number originated, I do not know.
This is a very hard soap, with an atypical Italian soap-scent. In other words, not almond.
The lather it generates, ably assisted by the
    Simpson Hive was delicious.

    I
believe this is day 5 for the Sharp Star and today, I shimmed the Old Type and
put the blade to the test.
Love the blade feel with the shim. (As if the Old Type wasn't blade forward enough!)
The SS still had some life and even afforded me a very-close-to-being BBS on my neck.
Two weepettes kept the Gold Medal just out of reach, but the SMN Nostalgia
made me forget that fact immediately.
Decided to bin the blade. I am quite sure that I could have stretched out the longevity
of it for a few more shaves, but that's not how Primo rolls.
