I also got my 11 year old daughter a pristine 1974 Lady Gillette for Christmas because she had shown interest in picking out my SOTD gear. She's 5'5" and mature for her age and needs to shave legs/pits. I gave her some EOS ladies latherless shave cream because she wasn't interested in using soap/brushes really. Anyway, after the using the DE a few times, she got a small cut and now she insists that I buy her the "pink plastic razors" to use. Oh well.

I use my tub of TOBS the same way as you to face lather (just as I do with my tube shave creams). I do that with a pre-soaked, damp brush though - not a dry brush like @Trigger was doing with his Cryogen.

For my shave this morning, I thought I might be headed for the top rank(of my "excellents), until.....wham..2 cuts, one on each side of where the lips begin(southern border of Porcupine Alley). 0:30 to load the Stoylin brush(it may be called "li'l brudder", but it spreads like a big grandpa). Razorick Lime Burst continued to do me good. Having the Stoylin Frost Drops was a good decision for today(gonna be pretty hot). I did well at Porcupine Alley(except for where I got the cuts). Another good job on Cactus Nation. Stoylin Glacial Lime for the A.S. finish again. Really hits the spot(the Glacial Lime). And now I look forward to the arrival of a Stoylin Glacial soap. Anyway, today's shave gets a Very Excellent.

Exceptional shave, Joseph! The Beehive is alway impressive. I am confused though by the often used term, "Manchurian Badger," for the knot. Does it come from a certain grade of hair in Manchuria or is it another particular variable I am unaware?

It has been a hectic, stressful few days, but I'm making my way through them. I hope all is well for you in Boston.

Things are OK here-just gets tough at times when there's not much to do via the Coronavirus. I'm a little to the NW of Boston, but I suppose that's the closest hub to me.

Great shave, Paul (minus the cuts)!
I think you'll like the Glacial Electric Sheep. I have the non glacial version and I really enjoy using it, especially with it having the great mutton tallow base. It will be a great pairing with your new bottle of Osage Rub (although I think the Electric Sheep AS would be a great mosquito repellant...).

I think I've told you before that my father was born and raised in Littleton and my mother's family moved to that area in her teens and she went to Acton-Boxborough High School. I still have family in Littleton, Pepperell, Leominster and Lunenburg.

It comes in a JAR though. I've never had a soap in a jar. And you're right-should be a great partner with Osage. Everyone brings mosquitos into the Electric Sheep dance. My favorite-good ol' Rise Shave Foam has also been paired with mosquito repellant. Hey that's great then-I'll be getting Stoylin's version of Rise!!!!

I've heard Acton has grown quite a bit now since my Mom lived there. My Dad attended Nashoba Valley.

I just facelather any unused lather to really soak in the scent and then rinse it off. I try not to waste my soaps. I will heavy load soaps that I want to rid from my den like I recently did with Williams.
