    Good morning everyone!
    Shavette Shave #187*
    Parker SRB
Van der Hagen 1/2 DE Blade (5)
    Barbury Synthetic Brush
Elly's Wonder Shop Mysterium Peracelsus SS
    Clubman Lilac Vegetal

*This is a correction because my last shavette shave post stated it was #187, but it was not based on my records. I did change it to #186. This current shavette shave is truly #187.

Ok, this soap was given to me by JR @Jayaruh on one of my brush packages and I have been wanting to try it. Mysterium Percelsus is made in the Ukraine. Elly's Wonder shop is no longer making this soap, but she still makes other soaps and splashes. Unfortunately, her site is in her native language so you would have to use Google translate to understand it. Anyway, the soap has a very light floral scent, but it isn't noticeable as you lather which is fine with me because I can use any aftershave with it. The soap is very easy to lather and it forms a nice, creamy lather with some residual slickness. As you can see in the pic, it has a nice a very light blue green color. The soap is soft so that I can fit it into my shave mug. I would buy this soap if it was readily available in the US. It is a glycerin based soap with Castor, Coconut and Burdock Oils. Did 2.5 passes with minor pickups for a BBS shave without irritation or blood loss. I applied the Veg and I am a happy camper.
    Have a nice day guys!

Marvelous Menthol Monday shave Gary! It looks like the Proraso AS is a darker color than the original. I like their new bottle.

    SOTD MONDAY, AUGUST 3, 2020

Affective tonality of the shave was consistent! Fear and trembling during the three pass (WTG, ATG, XTG) straight shave resulting in a very rough CCS which the Gold Rocket cleaned up and moved into BBS territory. My dome shave required three passes (WTG, ATG, ATG) to achieve velveteen victory. The Rocket razor is nowhere near as efficient as the earlier New Standard, Deluxe, and LC or my select rotation of seventeen safety razors. In any case, I feel cool, clean and velveteen, albeit with a bit more shaving effort on my part,

RAZOR: Genco 35 (Mug), British Gillette Gold Rocket
    BLADE: Suneko (8)
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with Rabid Banana Preshave Cube
BRUSH: Alpha Shaving T-400 Tribute w/ 26mm Two Band Badger Ferrule
    SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat w/ 6 drops of M-Bomb
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by Humphreys Lilac WH and Osage Rub. Finished with Krampert’s Frostbite and Cremo Cooling Balm.

I guess that explains it. Maybe you should send this picture to Proraso and suggest to change their original dye to this color. I think that it would look great and unique at the same time. Lol!

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: ERN 1820 5/8”
Brush: Jayaruh 337 with Omega #49 Boar
    Lather: Loose Screw Uncomfortably Numb
Aftershave: Chatillon Lux Pure Lavender Toner
    Additional Care:
    Barbero Alum Block
    Thayer’s Witch Hazel - Original

Superb shave with the new to the den ERN razor. A wonderful three pass shave, my usual approach, let the face and neck feeling smooth and comfortable. The alum report was no existent.
The soap scent profile is: incense, oud, pepper, berries and lavender. As a result, the CL Pure Lavender is a nice pairing. Future use of this soap I can look to pair it with WK King of Oud.

    Have a great day gentlemen.
