Bottom line is you got to the Velveteen shave you enjoy. Does not matter how you arrived to it. Nicely done Jeff.

Thanks, Joe! I much prefer the DD’s shave to the Genco’s. Not quite sure what’s different, but the Genco doesn’t seem to hold an edge as long!

All the TTO’s after the NEW models seem much too mild to me. I own several, two adjustables that belonged to my father, a gold Black Beauty and a Slim. Something about the head geometry just doesn’t do it for me. It may be that the TTO design doesn’t clamp the blade as tightly. In any case, I hold onto them for sentimental reasons. British Gold Rockets are somewhat rare. I was lucky enough to get this one from a seller who didn’t realize what she had.

Thanks Joe! It is a very nice soap. However, you have to get past the translation of the site and shipping charge from Europe. It's not worth the hassle which is a shame. The YouTuber, Vintage Life, extols the virtues of this brand and the company.

Thank you, Jeff! This one falls smack dab into "user grade" territory. No complaints with the shaves though. :)

Awesome fun mid morning shave (after another bike ride). Overloaded the Zenith for a face lather day, first pass was a bit dry, but it worked. Some razors in my arsenal complain about a thick lather, but this Toyo 777 has a very shallow angle for optimal growth reduction. Spine riding fun on any flat surface, just barely a half spine for other areas. This 6/8 blade has a slightly thinner spine compared to most Solingen straights. However, even with a thin spine and being a hollow grind, this razor shaves like a quarter hollow...it's very stiff steel, has little flex and audible feedback while shaving. Some extra hardening must happen in the Tokyo factory. Second lather I ran the brush under running water, much better creamy cushion result. 2nd pass had a set down/blade start error on the flat of my chin, just a nick revealed, never ran crimson.Third lather and pass was clean up for jawline and neck, lots of skin stretching & chasing the baby, easily caught, a little buffing was all that's required.

Atmotic is an awesome aroma, spicy and very long lasting for me. PAA's Scent Profile: Atmotic quite cleverly evokes the spirit of travel. Aged Oak, Dogwood, Patchouli and Ginger! Rich, Bold, Well-Traveled and Cultured.

Hope everyone has a great Monday!
