@dvdhviid. Glad to be of some help. They probably have some guy rowing it across the Pacific.

Clint-I used it again this morning. I have not had much time to post or comment as much as I would like today. I am dealing with the after effects of yesterday’s tropical storm which has left me without power since about 2:30. The power company is project anywhere from late this afternoon to sometime tomorrow for the power to be restored. In the meantime, I have spent the day cleaning up the yard and pool.
I did use the T5 again today, perhaps I may get to post the shave info later. It performed much better after I did a “reconditioning” late yesterday (as described in a previous post).

Yes that is the one. I bought it on West Coast Shaving for $15.99 in August of 2018. I just noticed the price has gone up to $19.99. I really love the scent. I find it to be a very balanced scent without the overload of cloves associated with many bay rum aftershaves.

Glad the T5 worked better today. Good luck with the power. My good friend's son works as a lineman for a local EMC. He is on the way to VA to help with the power outages.

Great shave Jeff. That brush looks very similar to my JR 329

Thanks, Clint! I think the clove and cinnamon aspects in the Clubman VIBR is what underwhelms me.
I may have to buy the Grand Bay - it sounds just what I may want. I'm not a huge fan of clove and too much cinnamon reacts badly on my skin (example: The Tallow+Steel Merchandise 7x turned me red as a Santa's outfit and burned horribly). My soap/AS set is available for anyone here that wants it!

Someone on Damn Fine Shave described it as Napalm.

As to the effect from the cinnamon, I agree. Otherwise it is a nice novelty scent of the Coca Cola secret ingredient.

Early on I got a soap with cinnamon that lit me up like a cheap cigar.

If there is someone that does not have adverse reactions to cinnamon, it would be a great product for them. T+S makes nice products. I'd be glad to PIF or trade to any takers.

    Razor: Puma 65
    Brush: Semogue Torga C5
Lather: PAA Atomic Age Bay Rum
Aftershave: PAA Atomic Age Bay Rum
    Additional Care:
    Barbero Alum Block
    Stirling Tea Tree Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

Second use with the Semogue boar with much better results. The new to the den Puma 65 provided an excellent shave. The whiskers of the 24 hour variety did not stand a chance with a three pass shave. I easily could have terminated this shave after the second pass.

I am smelling good, PAA Atomic Bsy Rum is a strong and lasting scent. As I type this, it has been 8 hours post shave and the scent is still going strong. I will continue to get whiff of the scent upon my rising tomorrow morning.

My apologies for the late post as I have spent a go portion of my day cleaning up the yard and pool in the aftermath of yesterday’s tropical storm. Fortunately, we did not sustain any damage. The power finally came on after 26 hours, thankfully.

Great bay rum shave, Joe! The new razor looks fantastic. Glad to hear you did not sustain and major damage from the storm.

Good afternoon guys! I just got home and I have power back!:bounce015: Therefore, I decided to shave my 30 hr + bristles to celebrate.

    Shavette Shave #189
    Parker SRB
Van Der Hagen 1/2 DE Blade (6)
    JR #290 Synthetic Brush
    Stirling Piacenza SS and AS

I have to say that this brush that I won on last year's raffle is truly remarkable. It's soft and really whips up great wet lathers that look like a professional barber did it. Today's lather had that creamy, slick lather that I really enjoy. I used the wet brush method. Wetted my face and brush. Swirled the brush on the puck to get that aesthetically pleasing and workable lather. Stirling soaps never fails! Did get a BBS- shave on 2.5 passes and minor touchup, but got a tiny weep above my left lip, but styptic did it's vanishing act. I should've changed this blade because I could feel that it was on its way out. However, I like to push things because I tend to be thrifty to a fault and it sometimes bites me like it did with the weep. Still it was an excellent shave and VDH blade was binned after #6. I can finally say goodbye to VDH because I will not buy another blade from them. Ever since I resurrected the scent on this soap by adding the AS to it, I really enjoy using it that much more. It used to be my favorite scent until it unexplicably disappeared. Finished with the matching aftershave for a nice, comfortable shave. Sorry, no picture because it took too long to upload! Have a great evening guys!
