Been awhile since I used this razor and blade. Good razor but the blade not so much. Blade is already almost gone and might have 1 more shave on it.

    Schick Twin - Japan [ 7 ]

Today used my favourite Schick that uses a Twin Blade, the elegant N3. Though Shaves smoothly it is quite efficient, and I always have a very pleasant Shave with an excellent close all round finish.

    Cold Water Rinse
    ARKO Shaving Soap
    Jayaruh #1 silvertip
    Micromatic BT
    Personna GEM SS PTFE
    CWR
    Aqua Velva Musk

The ARKO Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #1 silvertip brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Micromatic BT razor with a Personna GEM SS PTFE blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Aqua Velva Musk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Injector side-by-side comparison, ebony and ivory
    (OK, black and cream plastic)

    Right side - ivory Schick J1 / Personna (1)
    Left side - ebony Schick L1 / Personna (5)
Brush - Ever-Ready vintage boar, black and cream handle
Preshave - Col Conk Lime face lather/wash
Bowl lather - Lea Mentolada cream
After - Lucky Tiger and Stephan Bay Rum
    7488C18A-D8E7-4C4D-BA35-03E4372EBCCE.jpeg

The J1 and E-R vintage brush are new to me. The brush is in NOS condition, still seems to exude a little boar funk.

This bedtime shave was a standard Schick effortless 2 pass + neck whorl cleanup. The J1 had a tiny handling edge over the L1. I find both too long. The J1 also loads a little more easily than the L. The short E and G handles remain the height of Schick handle design, at least until I get hold of an I.

I have not used this Razor for some time and really enjoyed using it. It is an ideal Razor for those who fancy trying out a Twin Blade but are not that keen on long handled Razors. Todays Shave was really relaxed as the Razor seemed so manoeuvrable and I had no problems getting a good close all round finish.

Thanks, Gary. Short handle or long, that shave still feels close about 16 hours later. Fresh injector blades rock.

Hi gang. I figured this wouldn't be a very good PIF lol. Recd this razor with another one I purchased. I personally wouldn't attempt to fix the door bend, so I just don't have a use for it. Figured the regular thread viewers here might be my best bet...I just hate to throw it away. I'll happily mail it to the first person that could use it for anything. No trade or anything...I just thought somebody could use it. The tto seems to work fine, btw.

Interesting wear pattern. I guess it was kept in the shop to test grinders, vises and hammers.

Alu. General / Windrose S/S Handle

    Alcolado Glacial A/S Splash

If I am honest the Alu General has never been my favourite AC/SE , and I have experimented with a variety of S/S handles before settling on this one. I had a good Injector Shave Yesterday, so normal 24hr growth to deal with. Do not know if air temperature affects a Shave, but todays Shave was ultra smooth and the Razor felt so well balanced that I was able to use mini strokes to get rid of stubborn areas of growth. Without the slightest of problems I had no problems attaining a bit of a Face Stroking finish.
