I’m a 99% believer in TTT nowadays. Got there maybe about 6 months into my wet shaving journey that started in Jan 2019.

Given any blade holder with a good blade, or open edge with good sharpness, along with a lubricant, I can get a very nice shave.

That last 1% is where I have fun. To differentiate that last bit, for me, more than 3/4 of it is slickness, cushion, viscosity or best described as lack of friction with a lubricant. There are differences. After that, the remaining percentage is a variation of steel feel, dividing, not necessarily equally, between edge feel.....sharpness and rigidity.

It is hard to believe it is Thursday already. I have certainly had a week battling ongoing abdominal pain. A relaxing shave was just what I needed to start the day. I went with the Thäter again today with the triple milled Colonia soap. As @Primotenore mentioned, I bloomed, soaked, drowned ...... the soap while I showered. The big cloud like Thäter loaded and lathered the soap with ease. Three passes and touch ups had the baby in range so I went with a 4th ATG pass on my lower right neck. This pass caught the little guy. A splash of Colonia aftershave and I am off to a client site for the day. I hope everyone has a great Thursday.

good morning gents..contrary to the pic it's colder and pouring rain today.much needed..the above pic isn't a replica of my first shave back in 1981,but it should have been.regardless, without the proper technique it wouldn't matter, but i vaguely remember a black handled razor, probably a trac 2.i did have a fresh can of barbasol and a glass bottle of av sport, but they both looked different of course..fabulous 2+ pass near bbs on the first go with this nos canadian schick type l,knocked the blade blank out with a new schick blade.no brush ,just a straight slap on the face with the goop, nice goop however, and av sport to finish..awesome..if my first shave felt this good things may have been different today..who knows..we are where we are today for a reason..i learned how to shave properly here..have a fine thursday everyone..

Well, shux. I always like to have a high mark(if not the highest)for my Throwback Thursday shaves. An overlook and a nick got in the way. Still it was OK. I had Gillette Foamy, so no soap&brush. Spread very well(Foamy is known for this). I missed a couple areas on the left cheek, but thankfully there was enough foam elsewhere to "bring it over" for a redo. Porcupine Alley was done real well. There again, I tend to miss a couple spots, so I just bring more over to cover Got a nick aound the lip area again.. Down at Cactus Nation(neck), I got the left side all right, but could have done better on the right. Finished with Osage Rub A.S. and that baby helped me forget about what I missed and skipped over, etc. It took care of the nick. Felt nice and cold today, whereas I didn't get that feeling the first time. I did shake it a couple times-perhaps that helped. As with Clubman, I am quickly learning I can't be without Osage. (Course it's easier to get Clubman, right from the drugstore. The Osage must be ordered on line),. Ahh, that's all right....15 oz. of it should last a long enough time for me to budget for the next one. Most Excellent.
