Hi fellas how's it going? Last week the post man dropped off a new toy so I decided to change up my lineup. Just had a super cool shave:

    RazoRock BBS
    Vintage K-Mart Platinum Plus blade
DSC Sunrise (26mm Elite Razor Manchurian White)
Stirling Glacial Lemony Orange soap and AS

I've always loved the Baby Smooth for how smooth it is so I was happy to jump in on the SS version when it was releases. Three passes for a BBS finish!

    The boys say hi!

I thought work and life would settle down a little. I was wrong. I'll stop in when I can! Happy shaving!

    Thursday's Shave

    Merkur 15C
    Gillette Platinum (2)
    Omega 11126 Boar
    Tabac Shaving Soap Stick
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Alt Innsbruck

Wow, what a glorious shave. I owe this shave to many enablers on this thread, so thank you to all that contributed. I had to see what all the hoopla was about concerning Tabac. I have to say that I am a fan even after my just first run with it. I hedged my bets and only bought the $11 stick instead of the tub just in case it was not in my wheelhouse. I can see both sides of the argument as to the scent, but there's no denying the outstanding performance of the lather. Just wow, and I'll leave it there. As I was not sure how I would take to the scent, I only opted to buy the soap. That way I could test the scent and also affirm the performance of the soap (I did enjoy the scent BTW). I decided to purchase the Alt Innsbruck to pair with the Tabac (thanks for the enabling @Primotenore ). It turned out to be a wise choice as I LOVE the scent and menthol kick of the aftershave/cologne and it does pair well with the Tabac (even if you are not a fan of the Tabac scent, most of it gets washed away after the shave anyway). This soap/AS combination will stay in my rotation. :D I may decide later to buy a small bottle of the Tabac aftershave.

3 wonderful passes with the mild Merkur 15C resulted in a BBS finish with no irritation and a great post shave feel and scent!

    Interesting.

What sensation are you experiencing? Roughness? Tugging? Etc?

Very nice! I've said it a few times, but IMO Tabac can hold it's own against any if the artisans, performance wise.

Up early and got in a terrific shave before work.
Took the 4125/2 to task and loaded some RL Safari, an exceptionally hard soap.
    Did the bloom thang.
New Astra graced my Barbasol and my friends, what a great shave!
Finished with the matching aftershave and it was wonderful.

    Personna Hairshaper Blade (7)
C-Mon Heritage Collection Super HD Badger Brush
    Stirling Satsuma SS and AS

I am not going anywhere that I could have forego shaving, but it is cloudy so Satsuma always brings a ray of sunshine to my day. I love my badger brushes but they are lather hogs so I decided to go against convention and wet my face with this brush too remove excess water. The brush is almost dry that the load is pasty. After a few water additions, I got my nice, slick lather. On my second pass, the lather was more translucent, but still slick for me to shave. I purposely loaded light to prevent the lather going to the handle. I still had to squeeze the brush to get the soap out, but it was more manageable and less messy. This mandarin scent really puts me in such a great mood. I bought it last year and it looks as though I haven't made a dent in it. I think it has a life of its own. Lol! Two passes and a minor touch up on my right neck gave me an IBSS+. Splashed on the Satsuma aftershave to finish this comfortable shave. I think that I have one or two, possibly three shaves with this blade. Have a great afternoon guys! 20200806_130007.jpg
