I get great shaves with the VDH razor. However, 99% of the razors will surpass the quality of the VDH irrespective of any shaver's technique. The VDH makes a great travel razor.

Real good shave this morning, but it should have been better. I decided to wet my face and neck going 1/2 hot 1/2 cold, as I didn't want to go 2/2 hot with the glacial soap following. Boy did that soap wake me up!! Great coverage from the brush swirling. Everything was going just fine until the appearance of two (New York) nicks-one at Porcupine Alley North, the other to the south. Cactus Nation went well. This Electric Sheep seems to provide a real comfortable shave, but you clearly need it glacialized(is that a word?)in the summer. Finished off with Clubman Reserve Gent's Gin. The presence of the (New York) nicks takes the grade down a couple from yesterday to Most Excellent.

Good shave Paul! I'm sure that you know Dr. Lovan just put out a glacial version of this soap.

Glad you enjoyed the Glacial Electric Sheep. The mutton tallow base is a great one. The version I have is the non-glacial version. Just before you finish with your showering, turn the water to cold for a few seconds. That will get you cooled down for the shave!

Oh I'm sorry, Joe, that's the one I used today. Just received it last week. That's why I said "Boy, did that soap wake me up!".

Aaaand, as we are at 1/3 of the way through the month, here's our first check of the survey count. It appears "Anything I Want" is blowing away the rest of the field, although it's bit closer today than it was at the beginning. Just as was the case last month, I believe the excitement will be who finishes last- we have two tied for that coveted spot. "Only Gear To Give Me The Best Shave" and Platinum Metal" are neck and neck.

I think that's how it will go, generally. Occasional WTH shaves maybe.

A couple more shaves in with the new ATT S1/S2. Most consistent repeatable all over BBS shaves, with little or no lasting irritation on the sensitive spots.
I am feeling sorry for the outlook for my Rex. This is likely my new regular go-to, a worthy replacement to the Wunderbar, which was too much woman for me to handle.
