Hi Gary, and how are you? It was a great shave indeed, but as it turned out, the hot water I used shortened the feel of the Glacials. Back to somewhat cooler for now.

Love the Dr. Harris SC every time I use it, incredibly easy lathering, lots of hydration required for a cream. Very thick slick cushiony goodness, lots of residual face feel for buffing after a swipe. The Simpson Chubby 2 is fun to bowl and face lather, a bit stiffer to me compared to their Trafalgar line. That's why Clint calls it a 'soap destroyer'. Lots of face scrub backbone. The Osiris Razors straight went a round on Tony Miller's 3" Heirloom Razor 'Notavan' linen and leather strop immediately before using, nice and smooth shaving, but an utterly humongous blade. Fun to maneuver, zero blade flex. 2.5 passes for a very nice DFS+, found a missed a spot on on the right chin/jawline while applying the PAA Star Jelly. Oops. No shenanigans. Finished with a favorite....Proraso PS Red.

It's a full-blown Lilac scent.

Noses are weird. I don't get any "powder" scent from Tabac. Tobacco flower, definitely.

Terrific shave Blair! 10/8 straights are fun to use. I posted a youtube video a few weeks ago showing a guy shaving with a 12/8 straight! That's downright inpressive! If my memory serves me, I believe you have an 11/8 straight razor.

awesome ranger shave and pic Joseph.the boreal aftershave is quite strong but doesn't last long either..i like the soap base so far..but i don't think i will buy again..i have way too many others that are better..
