I'm still trying to figure out why his lack of fidelity is newsworthy. The guy cheated on his wife- yes it's bad but I don't need to read about it.

 

You know, that's the thing... back in the old days, a lot of this kind of thing was covered up, and kept from the press, now the public have come to expect to know everything about what's going on in a celebrity's life. It's really kind of sad. Sometimes, I worry that we know too much.

And... the Saints are now 12-0. I didn't think I'd ever see this day. My dad had the theory that Tom Benson wanted them to have losing seasons. He could sell out the Superdome, pay the team next to nothing (in NFL standards) and bring in a tremendous profit. So now, maybe Tom Benson's influence is fading? Or maybe it really is snowing in that really warm place down below?

I feel like Mr. Lucky for sure. Looking forward to the new brush and stand! Had another quiet day. Slept late, watched the Colts win, then snoozed on the couch. Roasting a turkey tonight for sandwich meat and soup base. Just about ready to pull it out of the oven. The house smells really good right now...

 

Oooo, turkey sandwiches, now that sounds great! I bet the house does smell good.

Did I ever thank you for that Patchouli Rose sample you sent me? If not, thanks!

 

You're very welcome (and yes, you did say thanks!). I really like most/all rose scented shave stuff, but that is something kind of special. I like the musky mix of patchouli as a background to the rose. Now I know what I'll shave with in the morning.

Speaking of which, I've got a chore ahead of me in the morning. I think this may be the first time in a year and a half that I've gone four days without a shave. Should be fun...

 

Four days! My whiskers would be way to scritchy if I put it off that long. Two days is max for me now.

 

Yup. They're actually starting to get soft at this point. Makes me miss having a full beard. But, tomorrow, off they come!

 

I haven't had a full beard in years, can't say I miss it either. I almost always had a cookie duster though. Just started shaving that off at the beginning of this year, broke my daughters hearts too, she always wanted me to keep it.

And after last night, maybe announcers will back off of the Saint Favre bandwagon. Yeah, he is a great quarterback (some days) and he holds records for just about anything a quarterback can hold; however, can the game broadcasts be about the game and not about Favre?
