SOS: August 2020.

I got the Doppelganger Gold PAA products today and I have to say, the quality is very, very, very good. If you don't want to spring for hundreds of dollars on the elegant Rose, Gin, Lime and Eucalyptus Creed Royal Mayfair fragrance, the PAA Gold label will get you 98% of the way there. I feel like I could just go with the bath and shaving products alone and get enough scent strength that no one would know the difference. PAA nailed the rose scent in this one. I won't say it's absolute perfect under a microscopic analysis where I'm trying super hard to notice the smallest differences, but it's so close that my nose and brain are fooled up front.

If someone knows what Royal Mayfair smells like, then I have no doubt they will smell this PAA Gold Label coming off of someone in public and think this is what they are wearing. It's super close to the real deal. I won't mind using this together with my super expensive Creed. The Gold Label does the original justice. It almost seems wrong somehow. Too good for the money IMO. PAA is ripping themselves off giving such high quality out.

And, while I adore Catie's Bubbles and really like their products, Royal Garden just didn't really get the rose right or the gin. PAA absolutely 'nailed' the scent overall. I will have to probably try to sell my Catie's Bubbles backup splashes and soaps since PAA just stole the show with this one.

A "modern" shave for me lol. My hardly used Van der Hagen soap let the youngest razor I own give a smooth and irritation free shave. Wilkinson Sword blade and a probably vintage but still modern boar brush teamed up for a fun and interesting shave. Stirling's Lemon Chill a/s is the newest kid on the block for this shave.

 

Great Friday Shave

All around great shave zero drama. DFS+ 3 pass shave.

I received the Fine AS sample a while back. I only used a few times. I hav no clue s to why I have. It used it more. Great scent and the wife likes it. This will be on my Birthday list.
